Also, if you have a good fansub group they'll actually sub all the kanji/letters you see flash by every now and then. Since I don't completely know Japanese and don't want to, my knowledge is still limited, lol.
You see how Senjougahara was weightless because of the crab? well weight in Japanese appearently translates into feelings, and she had lost her feelings for her mother or something. and after she got her weight back, Araragi went to weigh himself and he had gained weight. Its just a fancy way of saying he developed feelings for her without knowing it.(well thats what i was able to put together). And if that seems wrong to you tell me. Because i have proof, but i dont wanna spoil, but if you want to hear that proof I can spoil, lol

Araragi helps oddities(Senjougahara,the chick in his class with glasses, and the latest one), its somewhat complex, but a basic understanding of japanese/japanese culture is needed, well not really if you watch the episodes subbed by a good fansub group then you're okay.
Did you at least understand the significance of the scale and Araragi gaining weight at the end of episode 2?
