Over the years, I have realized that anime scores reflect absolutely nothing objective. One's scoring is influenced by factors I would have never considered to make a difference had I not read comments and reviews of other MAL users.
Watching episodes weekly or at once, watching anime around the time it was created or a decade later, the viewer's age and stage of life they are at, pre-existing expectations, genre and style preferences, personal bias, and of course the individual interpretation of the scoring scale itself.

My animelist is all over the place in the aforementioned aspects. So, to make it clear (for those who have the same hobby as I do - scrolling through other people's animelists), anything with score 5 and lower I'd generally not recommend watching, and anything scored 7-10 I consider above average with the individual scores reflecting my personal views. My personal favourites are usually listed as 11/10.
