yeah lol, I was just joking but they sure aren't good starter anime for young siblings to whom we are introducing anime.

I do agree that Yami Shibai is not something to be wary of (unless your sibling is a scaredy cat)

Regarding mtp, once you finish the 2nd cour, the ending's entirely different from the manga, since the manga's still ongoing, so I suggest picking it up 'coz its extremely good :DD

Another anime-manga I can recommend is Dr. STONE. It currently has two seasons, and the third season is set for next year. It has interesting facts and scientific stuff sprinkled in it, and even though they sound impossible, most of them are scientifically accurate. It also has a good balance between comedy and drama, so yeah :D The manga is also as amazing, and I prefer the manga's art better tbh :D

If you like mystery-psychologicals (since I saw in your bio that psychological-thrillers are your main interests), I also recommend ODD TAXI. It's prettyyy slow at first, but it gets interesting each episode. The characters are seamlessly related to each other, and the ending wraps them up by putting the pieces together :D

An anime/manga also similar to Steins;Gate that I can recommend is Tokyo Revengers. They both deal with time travelling and saving someone from their tragic fate. A heads-up though: Tokyorev is quite graphic and violent, both in the anime and manga.

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song also falls within the time travel-action-psychological thriller genre, and it revolves around an AI tasked with saving the world from a future AI world domination. The songs are extremely amazing, and the animation is so flawless and detailed.

Finally, I can recommend Bungou Stray Dogs. It has 3 seasons, and the manga's currently ongoing as well. It has a good balance between comedy and action, and it also has some drama and psychological stuff sprinkled with the aforementioned genres. The first season may come as quite slow, but the 2nd and 3rd season is where everything builds up and becomes extremely action-packed and interesting.

I can recommend a few more, but that's all I have on my mind right now. Feel free to also check my favs! What other genres are your interest? I'll make sure to recommend more in the future :DD
