I’ve been into anime and manga since the late 90s. There are themes and genres I tend to enjoy more than others, but I’m open to trying pretty much anything.

I've focused on seasonals since the early 2000s, but I'll still watch older/completed anime occasionally if something catches my attention.

For the most part, I just rate based on my overall enjoyment, and I don’t really think about it too carefully. I don't have a real rating system, and I'm not trying to rate objectively.

My other hobbies are mostly outdoor activities, including kayaking, hiking, camping, birdwatching, and beachcombing (for things like shells, sand dollars, shark teeth, etc). I also love roller coasters and theme parks in general, and since I live close to several big parks, I spend a lot of my time visiting them.
