alriiiight, you really wanna know? okay okay, here goes
the prophecy didn’t hit me all at once, it kinda… built up slowly.
first it started with Lain. I was just chilling, watching her become god or something,
and then suddenly, this static appeared on screen and whispered,
“wish them a happy birthday… or face existential dread.”
which, like, rude. but okay.

then Texhnolyze showed up like, “yo reality is crumbling and you’re next.”
and I thought, “huh. I should probably message rateyourmusic.”

but it wasn’t until Utena pulled a sword out of her friend’s chest that everything clicked.
like oh. ohhh. this isn’t just any birthday. this is revolutionary birthday energy.
Evangelion even tried to emotionally damage me into action. classic.

then Zetsubou Sensei popped in to scream something about despair and deadlines
and I was like “ALRIGHT I’M DOING IT I’M SENDING THE MESSAGE.”

so yeah. you can thank your taste in anime for saving the timeline.
we’re all still here because I typed “happy birthday :)” at the right moment.

Alright, I’ve done my duty to the prophecy and caused enough chaos.
Anyway, I’ve probably said too much already. But hey, this was surprisingly fun lol.

the prophecy didn’t say much… just that someone with really good anime taste had a birthday coming up.

so naturally, I had to show up and say happy birthday

I was told by an ancient prophecy that if I didn’t wish you happy birthday, chaos would ensue xd
