Just thought I drop a comment because I somehow stumbled onto your page and was surprised when I saw your a big Hikaru no Go and Kaiji fan. It's rare to see just just one of them around, let alone someone having both as their favourites. I haven't seen Akagi yet, but I plan too!

Have you looked at One Outs? I haven't finished it myself but its very much like Akagi/Kaiji so that might be worth a look. ;p
