I can actually fathom why Hakomari is held in such high regards, it appeals as Death Note did to a niche alternative fanbase which loves plot twists and suspense, regardless of their logic, violence and nihilism, regardless of context, and quick-witted characters, regardless of how dumb and stereotypical they are written.

Same here, Kaiki is the superstar of that season alone.
