I rate my anime & manga purely based on personal enjoyment.
For any airing anime/publishing manga that I am watching or reading, I like to give them a score right away and then adjust it if needed as more episodes or chapters are released.
I will give pretty much anything a chance, no matter how bad the ratings might be.
Likewise I will give every genre a chance and watch/read stuff for pretty much every demographic.

My favourite genres:
Slice of Life, Comedy, Romance, Drama, Horror, Ecchi

My favourite themes:
CGDCT, Iyashikei, School, Idols, Mecha, Workplace, Death Game, Romantic Subtext, Dystopia

Here are some non-anime/manga things I really like: Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Ace Attorney, Gunpla, Honeyworks (especially LIPxLIP and FT4), figure collecting, the True of Vamp stage play series and Enstars.

Another two of my most favourite characters that’re not on MAL are Lighter and Manato from ZZZ.
My favourite manga artists are Wayama Yama & Urasawa Naoki.

My favourites tend to change a lot and I often have more than I can fit in my top 20, so I’ll probably make a list for all of my favourite characters, anime and manga ever at some point when I find the time!
