And yeah, I'm worried frl cause I'm only 20 and my memory ain't the best scared for the future frl.But yeah, I feel the same way. If I felt any strong emotion, I usually tend not to forget the show or manga.100 percent agree with u, so much easier to reread manga, I feel like with anime it's such a bigger commitment to watch, even 12 episodes, let alone if it's more than that. It's genuinely been the reason I haven't been watching any anime recently, cause if I start something, I'm gonna want to finish it, but yeah, with manga or manhwa, it's way more casual, don't feel any pressure to finish it.
Yeah, exactly, if it starts good and gets worse, or the show drags you, the show has basically catfished me frl, like it's the worst.Like, why did u give me high expectations just to crush it a couple episodes later, like hella annoying.Got it, I'll have to rewatch Steins; Gate. I just need to take my time when I'm rewatching, so I don't get frustrated because of being confused, yk, plus I love time concepts in shows.Yeah, I've heard a ton of stuff about how confusing the LOTM was when the anime came out.Make sense since it's so rich in lore and information as I've heard, but yeah, it's definitely on my watch list as well.Yeees Ginatma is such a great show. I remember watching and getting annoyed about how the beginning was just slice of life goofy stuff, but I fell in love with it and also it makes the serious and emotional moments in the show, which are amazing hit that much harder cause Gintoki the mc is never serious, but yeah u should defo watch it when u can.
Exactly that's the annoying thing with long-running shows, the poor actors are gonna be in their 30s when we even get to water seven, seeing that it takes at least 2 years or more to make a single season. Gonna be kinda weird seeing a bunch of people in their late 20s or older play teenagers π€£. And same, I agree, that's where One Piece is truly excellent.
That's amazing, didn't know it had a physical release as well, happy for the creator, frl deserves all the praise since it's such an enjoyable series. But yeah, take ur time getting there, the wait will definitely be worth it at least imo.
Thank you so much, I've been pretty good π, the positivity has carried me far this past year, but yeah, how have u been btw ?
Ahh all the Golden Kamuy OPs are great, but my favs are either the first or the second. In terms of endings, the 4th is my favourite!
Hmm, my top 5 is pretty similar to yours haha. It'll be like somewhat like this:
1 X (obviously!)
2 Queen
3 Lucky Cyan
4 Loli
5 Little Johnny
Nice used to be in my top, but I'm not so sure about him anymore. Looking forward to S2 so we can learn more about everyone!
Omg winter season is soo packed with good shows!! I didn't pick this many seasonals to watch since the pandemic xDD
Yeah, I'm planning to finish Aono-kun at some point this year too. But I'm looking forward to see how you liked the ending, hopefully it'll be satisfying!
I felt the same about the last JJK volumes. Nobara was a nice surprise, but by that point I was so done with the story that I didn't even care much. Oh yeah, there is a spin off actually. I've read only 4 chapters so far so I can't say much, but I might drop it if it's not engaging enough tbh. There are aliens now too which is so random xD This is the spin off if you're curious about it.
Have you read volume 3 of The Strange House by now? I'll be reading it these days, so by the time I get your next reply, I would have definitely read it!
I actually wanted to reply way sooner than this but somehow I thought I already did lol. Hope you've had a wonderful start of the year and that you're doing well :3
And yeah I have a bad memory lol so I've re-watched so many things like Ive rewtached Code Geas and like AOT 4 or 5 times at this point cause I love em but for others I can't dont know why tbh. It's probably cause my taste has changed over time. Yeah, that happens all the time when I'm rewatching something I dropped years ago, I'm like Why did I even drop this? It's so amazing. That's why it's always smart to give shows another chance, never know if u might like it the second time. Ik right, the sad thing is that some anime really get better later on, for example, 2 anime that I've dropped that I plan to rewatch are Monster and Steins; Gate. Monster was really exciting for the first couple of episodes, then it kinda dragged and got really boring, and for Steins; Gate, I straight up didn't understand anything that was going on, which made me feel so stupid, so I dropped it as well.
Exactly the adaptation should be faithful to the core and main message of the show, the rest is fine. And yeah, that's what pisses me off with people who get angry at the changes because if u really wanted an anime or a show to be as faithful as possible, you would just have a slideshow of colored manga panels, but who would want that lol π.
If they get there, which I doubt, I'll be really excited in how they adapt enemies lobby, and no way they adopt every arc at least imo cause the show gets even crazier the further along it gets, the beginning is way more simple, so I doubt it hbu.
Yeah, definitely. I just checked both of them, and both definitely look really interesting. I'll try to check them out, you know. Comedy is my sweet spot after all, as you know. Plus, who doesn't love comedy? So yeah, thanks for the recommendation.
I mean I'm not really sure to be honest cuz it it was it was a really long time ago must have been like like seven or eight years since I last watched it so it's been a really long while so I don't even feel a need to rewatch it cuz I've forgotten everything so there's not even a point to like rewatch the whole show just to like watch the final episodes.
And yeah, the thing is, it's like there are so many anime I've watched in the past that I've stopped halfway through or just dropped for some reason, or just straight, or forgot to finish, cuz like back in the day, I just watched too many anime, so it's basically impossible to finish them all tbh.
Yeah, I remember you saying that, so I'm happy that you like the casting. I'm just really excited, you know, cuz I wanna see what changes they're going to do. I honestly love that the live action has its own twist because I feel like they shouldn't be like a carbon copy of the manga or the anime, and over the long run it should have its own twist because it's a different medium so it has to be kinda realistic plus I love seeing one piece with a slightly different twist in comparison to the canon just like the anime has done.
Yeah, I love it to death, you know. Even if I love and enjoy grand narrative and long complex stories, you sometimes just wanna laugh and read simple slice of life stuff in between.
Exactly man, I hope I can one day, but who knows, and yeah, I feel the same way. I used to be way more tolerant, ie, giving shows a lot more time to make me interested, but I'm less forgiving now. There's an anime I watched called Beelzebub. I watched like 60 something episodes and stopped watching a couple of episodes before it ended, and I still haven't finished it lol.
I haven't seen the full thing just clips, but Robin looks cool icl, how bout you though?
Yeah, exactly. I love the aspect of Manwha, it's just so much more enjoyable in terms of reading. You know, I agree with everything you said in terms of the color, how it's structured, scrolling, it's just such a more enjoyable way to consume it, especially if it's long. It's literally the reason why I've read so many more manhwa nowadays due to it. And the funny thing is that I have like maybe six volumes of manga, a bunch of random ones, and like I can't really use or read them because I don't want to like touch, ruin, or damage them so i just live them also, plus I'd rather read online anyway. Plus, I just collect them for like you know, collecting reasons. Nice I'm honestly really happy that you're enjoying the greatest EState developer you know it was like a manga that I really enjoyed a while ago then I started getting back into it and now I'm like yeah it makes sense why I loved it a lot a while ago so yeah I'm really enjoying reading it right now and I'm happy that you are too.
I just love comedy stuff in general such a breath of fresh air lol, but my media list is turning into a never-ending list lol so many movies, shows, manga, and anime feel like I'm never gonna finish it π
Thanks so much for the Secret Santa gift! I’d already finished two of the three manga you recommended, and I really enjoyed them, totally my style. Especially Karasugaoka Don’t Be Shy!!, that one was super fun to read. I just have a crush on delinquents in manga, hahaha π
I’m hoping to have some time this week to finish the third manga as well π
Hope you had a wonderful New Year!
