There's a lot of things that appeal to me about Cardcaptor Sakura. I really like the magical girl genre in general, and it's one of the more unique titles in the genre. It's monster of the week, but each monster has to be defeated in a different way, so Sakura has to be fairly intelligent to figure out how to defeat each one, and then gets to keep its powers in her arsenal afterwards.

All the outfits that Tomoyo makes for Sakura are beautiful and Sakura looks great in them, so that also appeals to me. Tomoyo also reminds me of how I was at her age, always wanting to film everything. The cel animated look of the show also gives this simplistic and endearing look to the show you can't really replicate with digital animation.

I watched it about 5 years ago when I was 18. It's already a little nostalgic to me now, but it wasn't a childhood anime of mine.

I didn't liked the plot of the 7Seeds, I felt like it was a little to complicated and confusing and the characters were really forgettable and not that interesting, but.. I think was really enjoyable, I had fun watching it. Is definitely not for everyone. I still slightly recommend it tho.
