In the Pretty Cure shows there is no story or writing, like there is no story or writing in magical girls shows in general and neither there is a story or writing in tokusatsu shows. Hence, your review of Kimi To Idol makes no sense whatsoever. Also Toei are masters at selling stuff, they themselves sold me something in the show, something very important (I'm a 40-years old man, for clarification): Love and a de facto part of my family now, Uta/Cure Idol (I have other waifus from the show, but she's the one that got me to watch it in the first place). I wouldn't give her away even if they tortured me. All the other consideration mean a split zero, less than a split zero.
