Surprisingly similar both in setting and initial plot. Even the protagonists are kind of alike. Both are urban fantasy surrounding supernatural investigations with a main character being a special girl with special eyes. Granted, Teizokurei Daydream is a bit more rough around the edges whilst Kara no Kyoukai has a proper overarching plot composition, however if you liked the basic idea of one I think you'll like the other.
