Both shows follow organisations that upkeep public safety from a unknown threat (Scouts & Titans + Fire Force & Infernals respectively). Both main characters also have tragic back stories of loss of family members to this unknown threat which motivates them to join these organisations which are essentially on the front lines combating the issue. They both also have great OST's and art styles.

Both are dark fantasy shonen action anime set in post-apocalyptic worlds where humanity is frequently ravaged by mysterious monsters (Titans/Infernals). In both cases, the show follows a military group dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of their world and combatting the monsters. A lot of the characters can also be compared to each other:
Eren=Shinra
Mikasa=Maki
Levi=Hinawa
Krista=Iris
Sasha=Tamaki
Erwin=Obi
I prefer "Attack on Titan" as it's just better in almost every way, though "Fire Force" is the one to go for if you don't want anything too depressing.

Both animes are manga adaptations that take place in a post-apocalyptic world where creatures of unknown origin (Titans / Infernals) needs to be defeated in order to protect humanity. The protagonists join the squad responsible for fighting them. They also have a central mistery that revolves around the world they live and the origin of these monsters and it will be revealed as the storyline progress.

Anime focused on fights between humans and monsters. but that also put a lot of care into developing their world and setting, with a lot of detailed systems and even religions. Both are also very well animated, with great choreography and sakuga.
Loss. Attack on Titan and Fire Force both follow young individuals who have had their families taken away from them. They both then seek out to turn around the events by understanding the truth behind the madness that always lingered.
AOT does this with Eren joining the Survey Corps in an attempt to slay every titan in existence. Fire Force does this with Shinra joining the Special Fire Force Company 8 to get more insight on the day his family was taken from him.
Both are good action anime, though AOT is more mature and military based, compared to a slightly comedic and fanservice-touched Fire Force.
