There are stylistic similarities in visual effects used in both shows, cartoonish sparkles, big red texts showing names of attacks or powers and such. Kill la Kill is stronger in this aspect, Sentai Daishikkaku is more tame, but still more unique than the average anime and it often made me think of KLK. Even just looking at the cover shows this.
Both shows main characters use their transformation powers in creative, fun to watch and surprising ways.
Both are dynamic and action packed with some lingering mysteries for the MCs to discover.
Both have lots of interesting and colorful characters and generally have a fairly similar vibe
