Akiba's Trip The Animation could aswell be considered a toned-down version of Shimoneta when it comes to the dirty jokes for all that it's worth. It's similarities are hard to understate once you take a look carefully at both of them.
Both of these series revolve around a male protagonist accompanied by a group of female main characters who style themselves as superheroes (sort of) and embark an a mission who is far greater than them as characters. In the meanwhile, lots of action and fanservice show up, often intermingling with one another and ending-up beign a crucial element on the trama, somehow.
