Both are reincarnated as a monster rather than human. Both MCs strive to get stronger. Both have team building. Both have a skill system/interface.
Slime is the much better anime but Re:Monster is enjoyable especially if you start running out of the genre.

In both shows the main character dies and gets reincarnated as a monster. both of them lead their horde of monsters and constantly receives power ups by consuming defeated enemies. Both mcs also can eovlve into stronger forms when reaching certain levels.
