Both anime are fantasy, but the main similarity lies in the staff.
The staff of Yuusha Kei is composed of part of the staff from season 1 of Mushoku Tensei, and the animators were recognized for their high quality in both anime.
(I highlighted part 2 of season 1 of Mushoku because that was the part with the greatest staff involvement, although they also worked on part 1.)
