Both are wholesome romance series with great visuals that avoid relationship drama and misunderstandings. The MCs are also misunderstood by others in both even if for very different reasons, while still having good friends. Biggest difference is that A Sign of Affection being shoujo has female lead as POV character while in Fragrant Flower the male lead is POV since its shonen.
