Red Blue and Teppuu are similar in that they're both MMA manga that are framed from the perspective of an "antagonist" or "side" character. The protagonists of both are outsider, slightly off-kilter, anti-social individuals whose main rival and motivation for getting into MMA is a much more bubbly, likable, amicable "shonen protagonist" type of character that they bear a one-sided sense of animosity towards.
