Both manga are historical fiction/romance set in central Asia a couple hundred years ago. Although, between the two, I'd say Otoyomegatari's breathtakingly beautiful artwork makes it the better series.

I absolutely suggest reading Blissful Land. It feels spiritually and stylistically inspired by A Bride's Story. The setting is the same (Central Asia), though this time we're in Tibet. The plot is also similar: it's a bride's story (pun intended), with a young woman arriving from another country and learning the customs of her new home.
