Ao Haru Ride

Both series deal with love, rivalry, grief, friendship. In both, the main heroine and her friends try to help the main male character to overcome his painful past letting him know, step by step, that they will always be there for him in any circumstances and that he must move forward to a better future  

Both shows deal with the issues of friendship, depression, self-isolation and grief. To be more specific, both stories feature a main male character who has a very sorrowful past. Their friends are trying to be helpful and supportive. The female MC is in both cases the love interest. The difference is that Ao Haru Ride is more focused on the romantic aspect while Orange gives more weight to the healing process, and as such it's more dramatic. Both are totally awesome. 

There are many similarities between the two shows, but both revolve around a guy who blames himself for his mother's death and they feel guilty that they distance themselves from everyone. Then our main heroine who seemed to be filled with anxiety tries to make him open up to her and falls in love with him along the way. 

Both are: - Showing a close friendship between a peer group of classmate - Having a main male protagonist with sorrow backstory that revealed as the story progress - Trying to show how the group standing together to support the male protagonist - Having a romance plot between members of said group - Showing a bit portion of humor within their mundane everyday school life The difference is, Ao Haru Ride choose the more standard slice of life/rom-com perspective while Orange choose to be a bit more melodramatic with the addition of time-travel related plot.

Ao Haru Ride and Orange are very similar in certain ways. First, the art does not differ too much in Orange when compared to Ao Haru Ride as it is supposed to create a warm and friendly like atmosphere as both of these animes contain elements of the shoujo genre. Both animes also involve a group of friends which surround the main characters of both series and they participate somewhat on the action. However, as far as I can tell in Orange, the group which Kakeru, the main character of Orange is with is bigger than the group of friends in Ao Haru Ride, therefore their roles in Orange are rather small. In both of these animes, the main characters face tough situations which transform how others look at the main character and judge their personality. Also, the main characters of both series have girlfriends which are the other protagonists of the animes. read more

The art style and the character designs between the main characters are very similar. The stories are set in high school, and features a cast of the main characters's friends. They are both also of the romance/shoujo genre. The feel of them are, again, very similar. While one is about a girl trying to make friends and refriend her crush (Ao Haru Ride), the other is about a girl trying to save her crush (Orange). If you liked one, then you should like the other! 

Both have scatterbrained female protagonists who apart from liking the male protag have otherwise zero personalities. Both also have whiny shits as male protagonists who think being edgy is cool as fuck. The little shits even look alike. Both shows also have incompetent and painfully drab friends who pretend like they are having the time of their lives when its clear that its dull as fuck.  

Both include themes of grief over death and different ways of coping with it. In both, female leads try to make the male lead come out of their shell. The MCs all have a close group of friends they hang out with.

Honestly, I've only seen one episode, and I can already tell that this anime is a lot like Ao Haru Ride. I loved Ao Haru Ride, and when I saw Orange I was fangirling so much! The romance and cute clichés are there, plus the art style is almost exactly the same, I'm 90% sure that its the same animation company. I'm so excited for the next episode of Orange, while I pray for Ao Haru Ride season two to hopefully come out...? 

Orange is like REALLY similar to Blue Spring Ride. The 'drama' and the 'romance' sides of those animes are quite alike except for the fact that there isn't anything to do with 'letters from the future or from another dimension' in Blue Spring Ride (which I thought was what made Orange so awkward for me to watch). 

Both female and male protagonist have similar hair style and personality and relationship. The male protagonist both have black hair and are in 'sad' condition because of their mother. The female protagonist have similar hairstyle and personality and both tries to get closer to the male protagonist and both have two female best friend 

This anime is similar in that it deals with the theme of regrets and second chances. It also has a similar vibe in terms of the character interactions and romance. 

Both anime have a guy being constantly cheered on by his friends (there's a reason). There's also romance in both of these. 

Both have a slow, timid romance between the characters with a slight touch of drama, especially in Orange. 

The story is similar. Both boy and girl MCs like one another but afraid to tell what they feel about each other. Regrets about the past.  

MC's Depression from losing his mother. Also is similar in the fact that the MC hadn't realized his mother's true intentions and blamed themselves for it. 

Similar art style, similar characters, almost same story line . Both of them are good one time watch anime! 

Both anime feature a female protagonist trying to help the male protagonist overcome his past and depression. They also share a romantic storyline with a love triangle and a supportive group of friends. If you like one of these, you might enjoy the other one! 

The characters for both shows feel and look very similar. They both revolve around high school romance and have very likeable characters. 

Both feature female MCs, the couples of both stories look alike due to the similar art style, both love interests deal with death and depression, both feature a love triangle and both is about a group of friends, built over the series' course, trying to save their friend. That being said, there are also a few paralels as the MC in Blue Ride is more or less a social outcast, the drama and angst in Orange is taken to a suicidal level, while Blue Ride is more of a slice of life with a more realistic approach.

If you like anime Orange you will also like Anime Ao Haru Ride why? because both of them both offer romantic stories of youth coupled with the first problem regarding the internal condition of the main character which is then saved by the heroine. the difference is there is a story in Anime Orange feels more serious than Ao Haru Ride 

I get these two mixed up a lot. Very similar characters, animation, and both romances based in highschool. Even at the time of writing this, they almost have the same MAL rating by users. Unfortunately though Ao Haru Ride is not completed in anime form, so you'll have to read the manga. Still recommend watching it atleast though! 

Legit, same people, different anime istg. Orange is more about friendship (Although Naho is a selfish little b*tch and doesn't like the guy she married and had a KID with omfg) and depression that overseeks deeper aspects. Ao haru ride is your typical love story you'd find in every shounen school setting and focuses more about being yourself around the people you trust. Both are really great ngl.  

In my opinion Ao Haru Ride is a straight-up better version of Orange. There's none of the time-travel, which I guess is really the entire plot, but Murao is basically a shy Chino, Kominato is a better Suwa, and Kou is a better Kakeru. Some characters are practically identical. Yoshioka, though, is very different from Naho - she's not really shy at all. Warning, though, Ao Haru Ride isn't conclusive unless you read the manga (which I recommend, but the anime is great on its own)

Both animes feature romance in high school setting. In both of them male characters struggle to communicate their feelings and feel deep loneliness until the female protagonists reach out to them without giving up. Both animes are full of misunderstandings and some sweet moments and if you like high school drama with innocent romance I would totally recommend watching them. 

Both are romance and drama animes. The male protagonists are kind of similar in my opinion and both focus a lot on the friendship aspect.

In both cases a the female lead tries to help out psychologically distressed potential love interest male counterpart throughout the story by providing them with care & affection. While Ao Haru ride is a bit more of a straightforwarded romcom,Orange takes a deeper dig into the characters & portrays them in a lot better & mature way with a more convincing,interesting & well-guided plotline.

The main characters in both anime are similar to each other. 

The 2 sets of main characters are identical to me. Both males have black hair and "edgy" and both females are shy and desperate and the same time. 

If you like seeing the heroine of the story go above and beyond for a guy she likes. A guy who is emotionally damage, who pushes everyone away and have serious mommy issues.. Then this is the anime for you.. even the MC(s) looks smiliar You can't go wrong with this

If you are looking for a similar School love story, with lots of clichés and emotional rollercoaster then this is the one .No stories are not similar to each other and one would love both at the same time. 

The vibes in both animes are pretty similar. If you have watched Orange before, you'll notice a lot of similarities. The vibes of school and watching the uninterested main character slowly getting along with his friends, is amazing. Also if you are looking through the recommendations of Orange, you'll love Ao Haru Ride :D 

The animation and personalities of the characters are almost identical, so if you like Ao Haru Ride, you will almost definitely like Orange. 

Both Blue spring ride & Orange has a main male character with difficult past or complicated family background. This prevents them from realizing their love for the main female character earlier. Both anime also have female leads which do their best to support their love. I love romantic anime with good endings. So both have ones with nice storylines along the way.  

The past stories of the main characters in both animes are massive factors affecting the leads' personalities and actions. Moreover, the main characters in both animes have found the right people or friends that would bring them happiness and lessen their sadness and agony.

they definitely don’t have a very similar story, but the characters and how the show was put together overall makes both of these anime feel very similar while you’re watching them.  

I really like the two of them, and they are very similar because the two of them share some drama and romance. 

"Ao Haru Ride" and "Orange" are both romance anime, but romance isn't the only plot point that's in the spotlight. Both of these anime do a great job of portraying what it means to lose those you love and how supportive friends can save you from yourself. While the two anime take different approaches in their depiction of depression, "Orange" will by no doubt feel a mix of emotions you never knew could be mixed. You may feel frustrated by decisions that are made, but not everyone makes the right choice because that's what it means to be human. But some choices are made that make you love the characters that tad bit more because they show that there are incredible people in this world who only want what's best for their friends. There aren't many animes where there is so much character depth and development packed into a 12 or 13-episode series, and I don't think there has been a series that I've watched that has made me feel so connected to every character in the cast as much as this one. These are two very similar romance stories, by both story and by visual style, atmosphere, and softness. They both feature characters that have their own psychological hurdles to climb over before anything romantic can ever work, and most of the story is about this development. They are some of the best of the genre if you are looking for purely romance shows. The main characters in both are always entertaining to watch and easy to root for. 

Produced by Production I.G., Kimi ni Todoke and Ao Haru Ride are romantic comedies of classics. The main male protagonist have different personalities but grows closer to the main female character throughout both series. It's also obvious the type of feelings the girl has on him although their relationship tends to be awkward at times. Among other factors, there are misunderstandings, rivals, and challenges that sometimes hinders their relationship. Expect comedy, drama, and romance. I recommend both series for anyone interested in a classic shoujo. 

Both anime series involve cute, heartwarming teenage romance. The plots are slightly different but I strongly believe if you liked watching either anime, you will enjoy watching the other.

Both shows share the same studio in Production I.G. and share similar staff members, two of them being Izumi Hirose who has performed as Color Designer for both (check out their resume when you get the chance, they have performed this role on many notable anime), and Rena Igawa who was the Animation Director for Kimi ni Todoke and is credited as the Character Designer for Ao Haru Ride. The shows differ in dramatic effect as Kimi ni Todoke feels more subdued and Ao Haru Ride seems more evocative, however they feel the same in atmosphere and in comedic effect with how the characters turn into chibi mode and make funny faces and all.  read more

These are two stories about personal growth and change. The protagonists in both stories are social outcasts who strive to overcome their own fears and insecurities with the help of their friends. Along the way, they fall in love. The stories are quite similar, but different enough that no enjoyment is lost. Kimi ni Todoke is much more slowly paced and stretches out over two seasons where as Ao Haru Ride is only 12 episodes making it a perfect quick follow-up series if you've recently finished Kimi ni Todoke and are in the mood for another romance story.

Very similar art style and each centre around highschool life of a boy and a girl who can't convey their feelings for each other as they don't accept or understand them. Kimi ni todoke and kimi ni todoke season 2 should be watchd first in my opinion as I believe they are written better. 

Their art styles are similar (both are by Production IG). Both anime also have the same romantic feel, and makes you want to root for the main couple no matter what.

The main guy in one series is calm, cool, and straight forward. The other is a sadist. The relationship in both anime start off rocky but as they get to know one another, fall madly in love with each other.

Similar story with similar male leads, really lovely female leads (though I like Erika just a bit more), great art and wonderful soundtracks (Ookami shoujo just has a nice piano theme and ambiance but Ao Haru Ride's entire soundtrack is utterly magical). Ao Haru Ride is basically Ookami Shoujo but with a less Sado-masochistic couple and nicer soundtrack. Personally I prefer Ookami Shoujo though, but both are nice. Also, Ookami Shoujo has better ending.

These are both Shoujo anime that feature a distant and crass male lead with a tragic familial backstory and an extremely energetic, persistent, and stubborn female lead that will stop at nothing to win the heart of their loved one. Ookami Shoujo is more comedy focused, and the male protagonist is particularly cruel towards the female protagonist but warms up as the series progresses. Ao Haru Ride focuses more on friendship and rebuilding what has been lost to time, in terms of emotions and relationships, and not so much romance. If you're a fan of one, you will almost definitely like the other. 

They are both shoujo's with very colorful characters in them along with them being in a high school setting. Also both main character's are trying to impress the people they consider friends at the beginning by lying about themselves, only to develop more as a person as the story continues.  

Both are about girls fighting for the attention/approval of a guy that they think has no interest in them. Both animes follow the story as they realize their feelings for one another. 

If you liked either of these you are going to like the other. It's a really nice story about romance that will keep you wanting to see more on how the relationship progresses i really recommend this to everyone.

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji is one of your typical shoujo anime just like Ao Haru Ride. They have different stories, but the both are the lovely buildup of the main couples and seeing their love grow stronger by passing obstacles together.

Both the animes are shoujo romcoms that take place in a high school setting. The main heroines are somewhat typical girls who are trying to belong somewhere (to some group of friends), while the male protagonists are somewhat twisted personality-wise. Erika(Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji) and Futaba(Ao Haru Ride) have something in common, more than the fact that apparently they like to make lies, and is that they end up learning to love their partners. Nowadays people tend to fall in love instantly, but these girls took their time to learn how to love these cold guys, but who are we to judge? :) 

erika from ookami shoujo is similar to futaba from ao haru ride escpecially yhe part where both of them want to become a part of the crowd even if that meant making fake friends which seems realistic cuz one wants to be a loner right? personally i like ao haru ride better especially when it comes to the ML....although kyouya from ookami might not seem very nice he gets better....i really hated kyouya at the start but im glad i didnt drop it..hope you like it too(・ω<)

Both of these anime series involve cute, heartwarming and somewhat comical, romances. The art styles of both anime are very pretty and pleasing to watch. The main male protagonists are very similar in both looks and personality. They both have a tendency to tease/softly bully the main female love interests in both series. The story and plot are somewhat similar. Each character relationship develops as they go through circumstances together. If you have watched either anime, I 100% recommend watching the other as you will definitely enjoy it. ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧  

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Ao Haru Ride are both teenage romance stories. A few of the characters share similar traits, or look alike. For example Kou looks like Haru. Sasayan shares a personality type with Kominato. Yuuri and Natsume have to deal with almost the exact same situation. etc. If you liked Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun you will definitely enjoy Ao Haru Ride.  

-Relatable and likable Characters -Various Funny moments -Not your typical shoujo romance anime -Above average soundtrack -More than just romance. Differences: -While Ao Haru Ride explores more about the main character's pasts and their overcoming, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun explores how the main characters come to realize and change their present selves. -Very open ended ending, expect to read the manga if you liked the show (which I highly, highly recommend) 

-they both have romance and are based on a daily school life. -the art is kind of similar -they're both really kawaiii! if you liked "my little monster", then you will surely like "ao haru ride"  

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Ao Haru Rideare both sweet but not cheesy romantic comedies. They both have protagonists that are clueless about dating. While they both will cause a storm of feelings, I think Tonari is a happier anime. Also I am amazed by both of the anime's art. 

Tonari no kaibutsu-kun is about a romance between a diligent girl (Shizuku) and his opposite Haru. Why did i recommend ao haru ride, when the main is not even similar? - I just did, because they are both nice and if you've seen a romcom anime, all are typically the same thing. But i picked this because it's the most suitable anime which has similar plot and worth watching. 

Both these anime have a unique animation...AHR has a watercolour feel to it whereas TNK has a bold geometrical feel to it....Great MCs ...the love story is also equally progressive but in case of TNK I really like how the female grows seeing the male (Haru) live his life...its more in depth in the manga....but its a story ewhere a person grows when in love 

Both shows are essentially romantic comedies that centralize around two contrasting characters - one who has an ice cold demeanor and the other with a warmer and a more perceptive personality - and explore their relationship throughout a high school setting. The various supporting character cast of each respective show also helps put a spotlight on their relationship, whether it's by their physical presence, their interactions, or something that they do. Check them out when you have a chance! 

For me, these series are so similar, that often I get confused remembering, what happened in what series. Both anime have a pretty strong female character and a guy who is a bit off. Through events and adventures they experience together, they get closer to each other and get to know one another.  

They are both shoujo anime, about a boy and a girl that are in love. They are not 100% similar, but I'm sure, that if you liked one of them you'll like the other one as well :3 

Their love story is very fresh. I don't know what makes these two anime similar, but if you already like one and haven't watched either one, give it a try. I'm sure you'll like it too! When you watch it, you will never regret it at all, TRUST ME! 

Haru and Kou are not drastically the same person. But they intend to Shy away from the people who tries to get close to them. 

Taking place in a school life environment, both series represent classic shoujo with its cast of characters. The main female protagonist has a complex relationship with the main male protagonist. Throughout both series, there are obstacles that tests their relationship as well. The female protagonist also makes friends with others but suffers from a lack of confidence on occasions. They also get ostracized by certain friends as result of the relationships she develops with others. Recommended for fans of romance/shoujo. Ao Haru Ride has more comedy while Sukitte li no yo conveys more drama.

Obvious recommendation is obvious. Ao Haru Ride has the same exact mood Sukitte Ii na yo has. It's quaint with a little bit of comedy, but is dramatic and depicts what relationships are like. 

Sukitte Ii na yo and Ao Haru Ride are not completely similar, however they do have some things in common. For example: -Both take place around a school setting -Have similar art/animation -Both of the main characters face hardship in their relationship -Characters learn how to love/care for someone. If you like cheesy romance stuff, these are anime you must watch! :) 

Both anime have this school romance thing going on, with a cute guy and a "complicated" girl who keep pushing the guy away. Both anime have lovable characters that you just cannot start to love, but at the same time, both of the anime got this girl in the main role, who can be a little bit annoying. But overall, both are hella amazing, and if you have seen one of them, then you would totally love the other one. 

The romance between the two cannot be judged. The Romance development between both of these is amazing, if you enjoyed the High school romance setting in Say i Love you with the Ups and Downs then you will also enjoy Ao Haru Ride, both similar and different with there own developments and twists. 

As Ao Haru Ride, Sukitte li na yo is a sweet romance story. I really enjoyed it and I really recommend it, specially because it has more romance scenes than ao haru. It has an emotional backstory and a happy romantic end. 

Two amazing and touching shows. Both Sukitte Ii na yo and Ao Haru Ride: - Are shoujo. - Have cool and relaxing atmosphere. - Involve the process of making friends and adapting to school life. - Explore the romance between the main characters. 

They are both romance anime, I'd say that because I watched Ao haru ride I found Sukitte li na yo pleasing to watch as it was a smooth transition and filled my need for more of the love Ao haru ride couldn't give me in it's ending. 

If you like slice of life and romance, these shows are for you. These animes may seem like those cheesy romance animes at first, however, both Ao Haru Ride and Sukitte Ii Na Yo. can make you fall in love with the characters seamlessly throughout the story. These shows portray how the characters open up to one another and learn life lessons through their own friend groups. They also hold many similarities such as dealing with change at school, finding your real (or true) friends, and opening up to love. 

Both are strong down-to-earth high school romance dramas where the girl falls for a difficult guy. Bokura ga ita is way more complete as a drama, but it is double the length so that is to ve expected. As heartwarming shojo goes, both shows are absolutely worth watching.

- First thing... Both made me cry a lot - Both are shoujo high school romcoms, Drama, Slice of Life, - Both series, face memories from the past to try resolve ther problems. If you love animes shoujo, you like this one too 

Both emit a certain atmosphere of springtime, they have similar plots and art. The colouring is similar as well, and both have a (more or less) superficial main character who is a girl and a boy who despises superficial girls. Have fun! 

Both of the storylines in these anime are focused on a a boy and girl who like each other, but due to events of the past they are unable to overcome easily, the ending of each is left very ambiguous. The themes are slice of life, romance, and both have shoujo vibes. Very beautiful and similar art style all around. 

The way the male main character acts towards the female about love connections is the same as Bokura Ga Ita. It's the same cookie cutter plot as Bokura Ga Ita as well. 

Both have a high school romance theme and drama related to darker pasts (the bulk of which is explored in the manga after anime ends). Both are about growing up and young love not always being perfect.  

This is similar to Ao Haru Ride because I think they are both more on the drama side. Well, Bokura ga Ita is way more dramatic if that's something you're looking for. Absolutely, love this one because, guess what? Another squeal worthy anime! Woo hoo! So, of course the girl likes the popular guy, but come onnn it gets better. There is so much drama in this and I mean like so many twists and turns and things you won't be expecting. This honestly made me cry at the end, like no spoilers, but uh.. not a happy ending. But I mean I feel like nobody knows how to end shows these days. Haha! More like never. You can't always have happy endings though, I guess. :( Bokura ga Ita is also just super cute, I love the relationships in this. Totally worth a watch. :)  read more 

Characters are similar (won't say why cause spoilers) and the storyline is also similar. When I watched bokura ga ita I kept saying "classic Ao Haru Ride moment", so if you like Bokura ga ita then give ao haru ride a go. Tbh ao haru ride is a better anime due to better visuals and sound but it's shorter and I recommend you reading the manga to fully understand what I mean by the storylines being similar in terms of the boy drama.

they are both love stories about two young people falling in love. they have different forms of love but it is still love. they are both AMAZING animes about love and if you need an OTP these are good animes to find some. 

They are both amazing romance comedies, both of them are hilarious and adorable!!  

Maid-Sama and Ao Haru Ride are similar because they are both comedy/romance, and the main male character always helps the heroine idk this anime is just really cute and i think you should give it a try. 

Both focuses on high school romance. Though, Ao haru Ride provides you a romance with some struggles and love triangles, Horimiya provides you a heartwarming romance with good understanding between the main characters.  

Aside from the main protagonist looking alike from one another, both shows have the same premise which centers around similar context. Focusing on romance about high school students, introducing many characters who'll eventually fall in love with one another. Providing comparable emotions to its viewers that can only be felt by watching these, making anyone's feelings flutter to their hearts content. 

both classic high school rom-coms, and the lead couples are very much in common (from their relationships, to their personalities, etc.)  

Male MC's have the same feel laid back and to themselves very smart and attractive to are Main Female character. Both Female MC's are more of a outcast not to bright but have like able qualities as the story progresses. Both series show how real life is for teen's in high school being judged by there looks and not their personality. Also shows the struggle outside of the school life as well. Both narrative's have Comedy, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life, School, and Shoujo elements.  

- Shoujo highschool rom-com. - Both male protagonists have a cold personality in the beginning of the anime. - Both female MC's are ditsy and not very popular  

Slow recognition of their feelings. Both guys seems cold and distant. At first MCs are rejected in some kind of way. 

About a young girl learning how to deal with friendship and with her own romantic emotions as they answer the question of "what would you do if the person you like likes someone else?" Aside from that, other similarities are within their setting, character dynamics, and the atmosphere that it can give. As for my opinion, I had the same emotion on both, so that can also count as a similarity. 

Both are shoujo/school/romance anime by the same mangaka so the artsyle, characters, pacing and setting are very similar. You could also call both stories the very embodiments of pure "vanilla" shoujo, so if you like it you've found yourself the perfect mangaka for that. 

The plot is kind of similiar with each about the fact that, the heroine of the show wants to know more about their crush that they have, and help him as the story goes on.  

Both titles show us top-tier romance where a girl meets a boy during high school and they start developing feelings for each other, AND I 100% RECOMMEND BOTH! 

I just found the general atmosphere of these two anime similar, not to mention both are very deep and thought-out high school setting anime. These two anime don't share that much similarities, despte both being romance anime set in high school, but I think that if you have watched Ao Haru Ride you will also enjoy ToraDora! 

This anime has a similar romantic-comedy vibe, with plenty of funny moments and heartwarming scenes.

this is a slice of life romance, which follows an unlikely pairing as we see whether their relationship blossoms.  

if you are looking for a vanilla love story, this is for you, having colorful artstyle and amazing soundtrack for both of the shows, and the animation for both are mostly done 2d. 

While watching Ao Haru Ride I couldn't stop remembering parts of Lovely Complex. Originally the story is different, but the: *hate/love relationship between both protagonists *"I don't think I love him, because I hate him, but I actually love him" way of thinking by both anime girls (and their reluctant attempts to catch their beloved ones' attention) *protagonist boys from both anime tease both girls for not being the feminine type and there is a notion that they do not see them as 'girls' *fun, charismatic and adorably romantic feeling throughout both animes simply make the viewers long for sweet sweet love. they DO differ, but if you loved either one, I bet you'd love the other. enjoy and may thy hearts find truest love of all. read more 

The main male characters in both anime are very pessimistic thus giving off quite a depressing vibe. They both do give some pretty good advice though when "helping" others. A love triangle is also present in both anime. While both anime are Rom-coms, Oregairu tends to not focus on romance as much as Ao Haru Ride. 

The positivity overload of ore monogatari may not be here but the emotional sways and moments are definitely in this series It has a great soundtrack that will stick with you for a very long time and you definitely won't be bored throughout It has a great plot line similar to or monogatari, in many ways both males have issues that trouble them, although they are completely different with their challenges, the feel is very similar I actuallly watched this series soon after I finished ao haru ride. I highly recommend this to those who have watched ore monogatari 

If you are looking for a romance and the characters are mainly trying to be paired together in a hope they would be together. Then you found what your looking for. Discover Golden time (which is also a golden anime), wherein this two masterpieces intercepts each other. They both have a dramatic climactic story line. They both have an efficient character development which makes the story great. They both are love story.
