Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru

Losing their war against Heaven's angel army, the demons of Hell are on the cusp of collapse. As a last ditch attempt to turn the tides of the war, the demons send Akutsu Masatora to the mortal plane on Earth to save their homeland from the angels. Disguising himself as a high school student, Akutsu seeks to recruit someone with the capability to lead the demons to victory.

Akutsu does not have to look far: among his classmates is the magnificent Lily Amane, a transfer student who seems like the perfect candidate for Akutsu's plans. But as luck would have it, Lily is one of the very angels that Akutsu is meant to be fighting against, and his attempt to recruit her might end up being the biggest blunder in the failing war. Worse yet, Akutsu may fall in love with his own worst enemy.

Honestly, I enjoyed this show, but I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece. It’s more of a fun series to pass the time rather than a must watch. I’d still recommend it, though if you decide to skip it, you’re not really missing out on anything major.
The plot is solid, and the characters are well done. There’s a central “will they, won’t they” dynamic that kept things interesting, and the humor throughout the show made it consistently entertaining.

While it didn’t leave a huge impression on me, it was definitely enjoyable. I’m not ride-or-die for this series, but if it gets a second season, I think it ... would deserve one.

Mixed Feelings

Not by any means a masterpiece, but there are elements of it which I enjoyed. The actions scenes are surprisingly adequate, not great, but just kinda good. However, it stuggles to maintain any kind of detail or consistency in both drawing the characters or the backgrounds. The characters and story don't have an immense amount of depth, but enough to be enjoyable. Quite silly, and I personally quite enjoyed that. Pacing was decent, kept my attention, however the first "arc", if you can call it that, seemed a little rushed. The voice acting was fine. Not impressive, but not grating either. The soundtrack had a ... few good tracks that I enjoyed and the rest were kinda meh. The op and ed were good though. Overall, it's not a bad anime. However, it lacks in multiple areas such as the voice acting, animation detail, and a little more character/story depth that would have made this feel like a more polished anime. 6.45/10 Dubbed

In the anime/manga (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) the concept is simple.
Two middle schoolers are too proud to confess so each is trying to trip the other because the first to confess "losses".

So take that concept, make it a couple waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy to meta and aware of the rom-com troupes to where this is aimed at the viewer not the other character. Congrats, you have this show. The dollar store Kaguya-sama.

You know what the sad part it is? It had potential. Don't get me wrong the show is trash and the jokes don't land 90% of the time. But then you get flashes of ... what this could have been, it's that remaining 10%, and I wonder...

I hope the author finds their own voice some day, because this one just isn't it.
