Recommendations

Both series focus on teenage girls who are both idols and warriors. Both incclude some sort of travelling between planets/worlds. AKB is a tad more serious and includes gun combat as opposed to Precure's more lighthearted, magical girl nature.

Both anime involve magical girls and music/performance. The key difference is that Kimi to Idol Precure is about Idols, and Mebashi Wiches just has the girls sing/perform without explicitly calling them idols. Also, Precure involves fighting monsters and Maebashi Wishes is focused in granting wishes and has some more serious topics and undertones. However, as i said, they both involve music and performances and share similar colorful characters and aesthetic.

In both anime, the magical girls are/want to be idols or being an idol a key element of the story. They both are more traditional mahou shoujos compared to other series of this time. They have similar aesthetics and an overall cute vibe.
