Welcome to the Initial D club
This club is made for all Initial D fans. Everybody is welcome to join and talk about the series, the manga and the picture movie - talk about cars and other stuff related to the series or just hang out.

What is Initial D?
Maybe you are asking yourself what Initial D is. Well it's a story about this guy, who has delivered tofu for his father since he was a kid in his fathers car - an AE86, which is a little bit modified to be able to do awesome drifts. Soon Takumi as this guy name is gets challenged by some other drivers outside of town. We follow him in developing his skills in the numerous challenges. He soon becomes famous and called the ghost of Mt. Akina.

@H-5121 I have been collecting the manga, I also like to collect anime on Blu-Ray, but sadly Initial D hasn't gotten an offical english language Blu-Ray release :(

@Chanrey The Eurobeat music definitely added an extra appealing layer to the series, and I'm glad it helped you get into the series as well as automotive interests in general. I haven't really heard about the MK 6 Supra besides one article I just checked out, but hopefully it'll be something that a lot of Supra fans will love and does better then the new Nissan Z, which is still quite rare for me to see in my neck of the woods.

@Strannik_0 It's funny how clips and memes help us find series so frequently these days, isn't it? lol I've got quite a few on my PTW due to those little moments. I hadn't heard of MET but sounds like it would be worth checking out.

We're a couple weeks away for Omnibus 8 coming out in the US for Initial D. Has anyone been keeping up with it or getting the volumes? I picked up the first but plan on getting the others when I can.

The new Tokyo Xtreme Racer is out of Early Access on Steam and is also coming to PS5 by the way for anyone that might be interested.

@Chanrey Did you watch Shuto Kousoku trial series (aka Megalopolis Expressway trial)? I complete the third movie today. Keiichi Tsuchiya appeared in that movie too.

@Chanrey I've heard of Initial D for a long time, but it was the "stop saying dumbass things" meme that made me watch it, which featured a clip of Shingo Shoji and an aggressive red Honda.

After watching the series, I became enamored with Japanese cars and their history, and togue racing, keichii tsyuchiya. And slowly I got into cars outside of Japan, like loud American Cars such as the Dodge Viper and Chevy Corvette, or exotic Italian Supercars such as the countach and F40. My heart still resides primarly in Japanese cars.

I was surprised when I heard "running in the 90s" and "Deja Vu" when watching for the first time Initial D, as I knew those songs from memes but didn't realise they were from it. It gave me like flashbacks to when I first heard those memes. As for Gas Gas Gas, that is what got me into initial d. I saw a clip in my youtube reccomendation that said "Initial D Gas Gas Gas scene" and my mind was blown "Wait? that song is from an anime?" after I watched that clip I was like "I NEED TO SEE THIS NOW." little did I know how that would lead to a pipeline that would change my life.
