| Right in the first episode, the anime tells me to read the manga to catch up on the stuff that was left out in the anime. Well, that's certainly a good sign. Seriously, though, this was pretty funny. It's made better by the fact that Freddy Mercury's in it. |

| This opening is smooth and badass. It just got this hopeful shonen feel to it and it makes me want to go on an adventure and protect the weak. I could listen to it all day! |

| Of course, the polite-looking Kamiyama does look out of place in this sea of delinquents but after reading the part that landed him in Cromartie made me think that this guy fully deserved it for what he'd done xD He could've followed the steps on debuting as a ne'er-do-well way earlier but that'd just make him stand out less. I'm pretty sure that someone edited Freddie Mercury's Wikipedia entry when this one got out too~ |

| decent first ep but hoping the further I get into the meat of this series the comedy of the eps steps up a bit. For how hyped up I heard this series, was expecting a bit more. Could defo see it getting better and living up to it tho. |

| I never knew I needed anime Freddie Mercury in my life until now. Absolute gem |
| I thought the episode.was pretty good. I like how the main character is so different from everyone in the school. It kind of reminds me of Sakamoto and his design, even though Sakamoto came out like 15 years after this anime. It's interesting because I just watched Excel Saga and not to go into too much of a tangent, but it kind of showed that the whole genre of delinquent anime has kind of had a lot of tropes already in it. It's not a new genre at all. And it already has spawned some parodies, so it's interesting thinking about it because that means that this anime, which came out four years later, is kind of an entry in a genre that is kind of tired at this point. Like, it's already had a lot of delinquent anime in it, and it seems that this anime is trying to kind of be something new and try to be kind of like a parody of the tropes in the delinquent genre. And it seems like it is because the main character isn't even a delinquent. It's this random dude who seems to be able to command a lot of respect for some reason. He seems to, I don't know, have a good build physically and have a strong, like, charisma, which is interesting. So clearly, he's not just an average dude. He's main character energy, but he's also very serious and tries his hardest at anything he wants to. And he seems like a good person. I thought the episode was funny. I liked the part when one of the delinquents ate the main character's pencils. I thought that Freddy was an interesting guy and I think it might be a rip off of Freddy Mercury, but I'm not exactly certain. I think that it's interesting that now the main character is the head of the whole school. So I wonder what's going to happen with that. Is he going to lead the school into a better direction? So everyone possibly is going to still be a delinquent, but is it that they're all going to be good delinquents? I don't know. It kind of makes me think about Windbresker in a way, but again, that anime came out 20 years later. Anyways, I don't want to talk much about other anime cause I know I'm supposed to just talk about this one. But, yeah, I thought the episode was good. I thought it was funny, and I'm ready to watch more. |

| Finally decided to begin this, and didn't even notice it is half the length of a typical anime episode. Didn't laugh hard for now, but for a pilot episode it was fine, introducing characters and setting especially because there is less time than usual. "Mrs. Simpson, i just killed my pencil". No, wait, wrong series. In this one, delinquents eat them. Wow. Seriously asking what the Queen frontman would think of all of this had he survived until 2003. |

| Episode one, rewatching THE GREATEST TELEVISION PROGRAM EVER TO AIR IN THE ENTIRE EXISTENCE OF THE WORLD! Officially with my MAL profile, this would be the fifth time I've watched this series. But honestly, it could be more. This is, however, the first time I'm actually watching it subbed. It is also the first time I'm watching it along with the MAL discussions. As I watch it in Japanese, I can hear the English dub in my head simultaneously and the differences it has. Right now, I give the dub the win through just one episode. Things can change, though. I just want to point out how amazing the soundtrack is to this show. |
