| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah Boruto and his friend just don't give up and still tries to do the right thing. Kinda nice to see more of his cllasmates join the fight. Meanwhile, drama emerges in the village with the protests. Dang, this episode was kinda chaotic. Shikadai's personality feels really similiar to his father this episode, kinda the leader type. |

| Why does the series make Naruto so fckn useless ? I mean with kcm2 and sage of six paths mode he should be able to find the criminals in seconds this happens all the time Naruto either doesn't use his abilities or they are just weakened. I understand that it would be boring If Naruto solves everything in a second but then they need a better explanation for why he doesn't do it. |

The only good parts were Sarada and Mitsuki's stories. |

Yea you are right it would be a better story by itself without being related to Naruto its just hard to build up any tension with the father of the MC being pretty much invincible |

| It was just a diversion like Shogi and Shikadai figured it out! Hokage Naruto did his just alright, but he doesn't need to be involved with that little of a threat, other mid-level shinobi and the kids can handle that! 4/5. |

| So the cause of all that protesting was genjutsu. It was great to see Naruto calm everyone down. Now it's up to Boruto and Shikadai to stop those two. |

| This episode was kinda dead... It didn't feel as though there was a climax; hopefully the push the animation quality if there is an intense fight scene -it seems as if there will be. Fingers crossed. Shikadai doesn't seem to be as clever as his father, pity, but that means they're not trying to make shikadai a clone of shikamaru... Which I feel is better. But it's somewhat sad that there won't be that classic shikamaru/shikaku strategising that we used to see P.S. RIP Shikaku Nara 😭 |

| Ah yes, the almighty Talk no Jutsu. It's been a while since we've seen Naruto do that. So everyone was under the control of a genjutsu, but luckily it was broken. Next episode looks like it should be good, and I'm assuming things will wrap up then. |

| 3/5 Kind of a mediocre episode in my mind, although I'm intrigued to see where they're going with this "Magnum Opus", because it sounds like a storyline that was mentioned in the manga. I also hate that they've turned Naruto into this plot device that they just throw into the mix whenever it seems convenient. He's a very complicated character with a huge backstory (duh) but in the anime they just treat him like a talking head that comes in every now and then to say a couple words. MANGA SPOILERS: |

| So the enemies true plan is this justice huh. Though its nice to see the older members of the cast return here though like Kiba and Hanabi. Confronting civilians though is never easy. Good thing that Shikadai realised the enemies strategy though. So the demonstration was just the decoy. Their main target was the research lab. The contrast between the Shinobi confronting the civs and Boruto and gang confronting the gang though was nice. When combined with Naruto's address the enemies plan soon fell apart. The address though was excellent though. Such great words. Now to see how this ends next episode. |

| it’s kind of amazing how little they managed put into a 20 minute episode. if i weren’t invested in ryogi’s character trope then this arc would’ve been insufferable for me. i’m looking forward to the reveal though and hoping that he gets a happy ending (if we can forgive the mist kid and sumire i would hope we can forgive him too). |

| I think everyone is so eager for intense, shippuden style battle scenes that they forget that, the first couple arcs for Naruto were just like this. Really basic "problems" going on that the higher ups (hokage and co) could easily solve in seconds, but don't because 1) they have other, bigger fish to fry that we don't know about yet, and 2) because if they did everything, the kids wouldn't have anything to do, killing the show in the process. We gotta get through watching each main characters story before going into the real stuff, that's how shounen's work lol. Anyway, loved seeing Naruto's talk no jutsu again, it's his most powerful one, obviously. HANABI! I really love her haha. Also nice to see the kids discover where the base was through shogi, and realize the protesters were using genjutsu. Once again, the adults have become so used to living in peace, they begin to not notice things that are right in front of their eyes lol |

Ryogi and the gang leader barely made it to the final carriage and yet Boruto and Shikudai, whilst running, was actually a little ahead before deciding to go on board too. Moreover, how’d Chubs and Inojin take down those members so easily? Surely you’d expect them to be Chunin level at the very least. Anyway, we got another one of Naruto’s ‘talk no jutsu’ and good thing the public quickly settled down, thanks to it. Shikamaru got the spotlight for this episode too, cool stuff! Next episode seems like to be the finale, looking forward to seeing the gang leader exposed(I think it’s very obvious that he’s got hidden agendas) and hopefully Ryoji will get a happy ending too! |
