Hype indeed.

Was hoping for a complete remake but a movie which adapts the final match would be hype as fuck.

Just imagine that match with a movie level budget.

Hope this movie will be a huge success which might result in an anime adaptation of REAL.

As a big basketball fan, this movie is like a dream come true. And man I really hope REAL gets an anime adaptation too.

Kinda wanted a remake of the full series, but this movie is still hyping me up. Not sure what it's going to be. I would like it to be the nationals tournament, but I'm not sure if a single movie would be enough for that. It might be like the other movies and be a spin-off.

I wonder what the new art would look like.

I was hoping we'd get a remake of the series as there probably is enough interest, but a continuation would be just as good if it means the final two games that are adapted. There are a lot of chapters to adapt anyway.

Whichever match the movie covers, it's gonna be amazing. Though if it's the toyotama match, I hope they make a sequel for sannoh too.

like i said on the news thread i hope they remake the TV series after the success of this movie because it will be profitable considering Slam Dunk is still selling like hot cakes still there in Japan after all this years with manga re-releases

I really hope it's the final game, that in crisp new animation with movie budget would be insane, I don't think its enough for nationals but at least the final game

I hope they cover nationals section - which is completely logical considering the number of matches - in the movie. Come oon, oldies have been waiting for this impatiently for more than two decades!

Slam Dunk is the best sports manga ever. Even the old anime was pretty cool. I'm up for this. The only things Toei ever done justice, are their movies (talking about DB and OP).

I just finished reading the manga after watching the anime. And... the final arc is lit and kinda sad at the same time when we all reach that part. 99% of the ppl will ask for a rematch.
Sakuragi the game changer.

They finally resolved their differences. But do you know? It's not something so simple, if it goes well maybe Inoue-sensei will decide to give the green light to his other works to be animated like Vagabond or REAL, I hope that happens because I love REAL and I want to see it animated.

Whatever happens I look forward to this.
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.
