| The new OP has some really nice visuals and obviously, pleasant lyrics. It's definitely a huge shift from the hype-inducing, rock sorta battle music type of OP that we get from the 2 OP in the first season. The ED, likewise is also greatly pleasing, relaxing even. The visuals and lyrics make you feel at peace. Let me then begin this slave/farm arc! I've been putting off watching this for a year now, first thing first... EINAR HAS A SISTER??? I do not remember seeing Einar's backstory before his time in the slave ship in the manga, this entire segment of him living with his mom and sister is 100% an anime original. Not too bad. I've noticed a whole lot of cinematic vibe in this first season alone, the background OSTs are wonderful, and so is the usage of camera panning. |

| Hell of an opener right there, I expected nothing after S1 and was still astonished. Quite a tale, you'd think it'd be reductive after all this time--slaves and vikings. But it still hits you hard. All sorts of thoughts spring forth. Pretty good start here from MAPPA. At least they seemed to get this one over the line. We'll especially see if it can hold a candle to S1, which was one of the best anime ever. |

| Just started season 2. It looks good. Thorfinn ended up being a “slave” in Vinland, omg. The old man is still looking for him. I guess I don’t dislike this new “mc” |
