That’s incredible and rare, they can buy themselves so they can be free.

I hate seeing Thorfinn like that, but that’s the sad reality of a slave life.

Einar has officially fallen in love.

The son isn’t going to be great leader of this farm in the future. Especially since he wants to join the war, my dude doesn’t know what war is truly like.

Y’all weird, stop standing in front of the door đź’€ you’re making noticeable what you’re looking for too.

From what I could see, it looks like Einar would be the one to bring back Thorfinn to the way he was before. It pains me to see that he's so despairing and disoriented.

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Thorfinn's become pathetic af and I don't mean him not fighting back but he just looks so miserable, what the hell happened to him?

In the OP, that scene of Thorfinn sinking into the ocean resembles the intro in the Vikings TV series. I guess the producers of this anime are fans of the TV series. It's one of the best intros I've ever seen, and the song is so badass. No wonder that scene looked so familiar to me. I knew I saw it somewhere.

This is why I am so against the booming population. We'll need to clear more forests for bigger farms to support a bigger population. The world is already in such a shitty state in 2023. I shudder to think how worse the climate will get by the 2030s and onwards, when the population has reached 10 billion or more. F*cking humans are breeding like rabbits. We even outnumber rats. It pisses me off!

Nice attention to detail! Drawing swords from the back looks cool, but it never works or is difficult to pull off, especially in the middle of combat.

I was as naive as Olmar when I was younger. I also thought war was cool. As I grew older, I grew to hate it. It reminded me of that quote from when I was playing Rome Total War: "War is sweet to those who have no experience of it. But the experienced man trembles exceedingly in his heart at its approach." -Pindar. However, I must admit that war is great entertainment as long as I'm just an observer. Haha!

So far so good!

I like the change in tone Thorfinn has now that he lost his goal in life, he's not only more distant and quiet but also gives off an air of not caring where life takes him next. Just going day by day hanging onto the one thing he has left. His life.

Einar would be hella surprised to know that he's sleeping beside the single coldest murderer he'd ever know. If a murderer has their hands soaked in blood, Thorfinn is practically swimming in it. This will be a story of rebirth, renewal and pursuit of redemption.

So why did he NOT report the bullies? What did the woman have to do with anything?

Still not used to Thorfinn being so mellowed out that he's borderline stoned but wow that flashback at the very end had a hell of an impact.

Liking Einar more and more and while the son is a little annoying, something tells me he has potential.

Another great episode. This obviously is way different compared to what we're used to from season 1. Going from constant fighting and Thorfinn trying to get his revenge on Askeladd to a farmer life is something I have to get used to, to say the least. Still, I'm enjoying every second of it.

Ketil seems like a good guy, at least from what I can tell so far. Giving his "slaves" the chance to work towards their freedom surprised me a lot and is a best case scenario most other slaves could only wish for.

Thorfinn's change on the other hand cannot be ignored. He seems to have lost any sort of emotion. Even when those jerks almost ate their whole lunch, he made no move other than to thank them. I'm not saying that this was a wrong decision, but knowing Thorfinn's character, usually he would've reacted differently. At the very beginning I even though he forgot how to speak lol. Whereas Einar represents the complete opposite which creates an interesting dynamic.

I guess men are always helpless when it comes to a beautiful woman. I see you Einar ;)

And then there's Olmar, the spoiled and ungrateful son of Ketil, who clearly has no clue what it means joining an army and going to war. I feel bad for Ketil since it's obvious that he only wants the best for his son. Cracked me up when the parents of that girl were patiently waiting for "round 2" to begin between her and Olmar.

If Einar only knew the truth about Thorfinn and all the cruel things he experienced. I honestly can't wait for the moment where this gets revealed.
@Natsu88 there's no such thing as a good slave owner.

this kind of arc gives style of vagabond, the scenery and overall development screams redemption. Thorfinn is back
