Love at least two seasons of this show. But having people look the same in human world plus the same legendary fighters but then a few randomly new ones. Can anyone help with the correct order and not with movies or filler seasons like when they are cartoonish. Thanks if you can help and interested in your thoughts on the show as a whole

There technically is not a “correct” order to watch because each route is an alternate timeline, however there are certainly better orders to watch them in than others. The fandom starts throwing hissy fits when people dont tell you to start with visual novel or “watch it in this order because then you wont be spoiled or blah blah blah.” Im sorry but a lot of people dont have time to spend sitting and clicking your mouse to read a VN.

The order I watched that got me into Fate was Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] > Fate/Zero > Fate/stay night Heavens Feel

Fate/Zero is a prequel to both Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works and Heavens Feel. Fate/Zero will provide a lot of context that feels like its missing from UBW and also introduce characters that will appear in Heavens Feel (Heavens Feel is an alternate timeline of Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works). The best way to think about it is the Fate universe starts with Fate/Zero and then splits into three potential alternate universes.

There is also Fate/stay night 2006 which adopts the Fate Route which is the third Fate/stay night route. Many people say its a terrible adaptation. I cant say, Ive never played the Visual Novel, but I have watched it and its definitely nowhere near as good as UBW, Zero or Heavens Feel. Many people recommend to skip it.

Those are the main Fate animes that are important to watch. Then there are a trillion spinoffs. Ive seen all of them. The only one worth watching imo is Fate/Grand Order. The rest were really not that great.

Don’t skip 2006 stay night, actually start with it as it gives a better introduction to the world even if it isn’t as good of an adaptation it’s a much better base and then you will enjoy the rest of the series much more. Trust me, 2006 stay night, ubw, heavens feel, and then zero.

Fate stay night Unlimited Blade works

Then

Fate Zero

Then Fate Heaven's feel.

I saw Zero before Bladeworks and that was a unique experience too.

This is the main canonical ufotable order. There's also a studio deen anime but you should either skip it or watch it after the Ufotable ones as it takes away from the experience. Ufotable actually builds up on the prequels whereas the Studio Deen show has no payoff.

2006 it's the first route not the 3rd so whoever starts fate should begin with that not UBW, and Zero should something you leave after the three routes of stay night since it's prolongue that was made to read after

The visual novel's the best place to start but understandable if you don't have time as it is like 80 hours longs. Just start with Zero, Stay/Night or UBW just not Heavens Feel as it uses a lot of context from UBWs prologue and is usually the recommended last route in the VN and anime in terms of Stay Night at least the rest just do release order if you want to watch them. Although Hollow Ataraxia is a follow up to Stay Night (Stay Night, UBW and Heaven's Feel are all from the Stay Night VN) but is only a VN.

Look the only problem in this show is that the old FSN anime kinda sucks due to not giving Fate route justice.

But you can still always start with that if you have aversion to VN.

Then Fate UBW > Heaven's Feel movies

Finally Fate Zero > Lord Melloi Case Files

Afterwards watch anything else in release order.

Don't miss out on Today's Menu for the Emiya Family and Fate Strange Fake.

The order isnt hard but people are just lazy to understand that.
Fate VN - 3 routes - in each one focus on different girl
fate stay night (2006) anime - saber route
fate UBW + prologue - rin route
Heavens feel - sakura route
Thats all from the original.

If you want to dive into universe and learn -> 2006 anime or VN -> the rest.
If you are lazy -> UBW, Heavens Feel -> rest

Fate/Zero was made for people who knew about the original so not good for start.

After that watch whatever you like from the spinoffs.

The prologue is not part of Unlimited Blade Works, the 2nd route. The prologue is its own route and it is for people new to Fate/Stay Night.
