@Bio yea specifically revealing it to the guy who has committed so many crimes that nobody would find it unusual he got such a serious sentence ia bizarre. I guess it's supposed to be them flexing how confident they are and taking pleasure in letting him in on it just to silence him. It comes off as rather stupid though. Like Dr.Doofenshmirtz revealing his whole evil plan. Straight up evil villains can be interesting, but making them evil and stupid is tough. Then tresting the audience like a bunch of idiots that need everything spoon fed is not working for me so far. The concept of the demon blight I think is cool and there's a lot of potential in this setup, but so far the execution has been lacking.

the anime said that the demons are infiltrated in government structures, not that they have total control over them. In other words, the decision isn't the demons'. Furthermore, killing Vanetim in a way contrary to his sentence would only attract attention because it would seem suspicious, as if they were trying to get rid of evidence by killing Vanetim.

@Desmascarado your interpretation is entirely detached from the subs in that scene. Regardless it's still stupid to confirm to him thst his random wild conspirscy theory was correct. There's no benefit in telling him and risk that'll he'll somehow find a way around the augmentstion to his seal.
