If frieza thinks the nameks are dumb for not speaking then he is dumber trying to let them speak in the first place.

Behold of my awesomeness~
controversial and/or sensitive topics likely devolve into the same repetitive, derogatory, abusive, and harassing comments can no longer be posted.
But my feels.

the way i see it, the highlight of the fighters were previous chp, in this chp the fighters were a decoy for the elder.

The first half of the Namek arc is probably my favourite part of all of Dragon Ball. One reason being that so much of the storytelling is not based on strenght. The scanners play a huge role in the arc and many characters have to use their wits to get around them. A great example here is the village elder realising this and destroying them.

Toriyama could have easily given Freezer some kind of Dragon Ball tracker, simirality to how the bad guys hade one in the Red Ribbon Army arc, but instead they use the scanners to locate villages.

It's also interesting with the bad guys and good guys in some ways having different powers, with being able to or unable to alter their strenght.

Its kinda crazy how sensing ki is just not a thing somehow for Frieza's entire army. Its easy enough to explain away (like if you invented scouters then why bother learning to sense ki on your own, I guess?) but it took the elder Namekian all of half of a chapter to realize he could completely ratfuck Frieza's entire mission by blowing up the scouters. On a universe level nobody on Earth is worth a shit and they all figured it out and Vegeta picked up the basics just from seeing them once. Plus the Namekians know how to control their ki too. It makes Frieza's whole operation seem pretty sloppy if even his executive-level guys (and he himself) can't sense ki at all.
