| I just finished the game recently one of the best I have played. 1. Kyousuke- he is the man. He went through utter hell and back for the girl he loved. 2. Haru- u can't resist her cuteness, one the most unique characters in these types of games I have seen. 3. Gonzou - this guy was just epic. 4. Maou- one the best villains ever. 5. Tsubaki - I loved her path only second to haru's because of her calmness and honesty. |
| 1. Kyousuke - I was incredibly skeptic midway through the series - though I was cognizant of the fact that he would eventually discern about the wrongs in his persona. Regardless, he went BAMF in Usami's ending, so he gets #1 And tied with Kyousuke, there's Maou - Kyouhei. Needless to say, hands-down, a splendid and exemplary antagonist. 2. Haru 3. Gonzou - BAMF, right here. 4. Mizuha - I'm putting her here only because she looked immensely kawaii wearing her bridal groom. 5. Yuki |
| 1. Gonzou, by far. The way he redeems himself in the end is tearjekringly badassingly amazing. I have a weak spot for father characters and he is both an excption (since he's a terrible father) and one of the best examples. He has the best music theme of the game and causes you actual goosebumps whenever he appears. One and only actually scary fictional character I've ever encountered, one that you want to kill and run away from at the same time, all while wishing him luck. 2. Tsubaki - her route deals with the theme of family which is my favorite possible one. Also she's a bad stereotype of "a perfect innocent good girl" but actually gets lots of development and we can see her changing for worse and back, she's a great character. 3. Kyousuke - well, what can I say. Ever played any other visual novel? Than you know how great a protagonist he is compared to all those other guys. It's not even about him being awesome - it's mostly about him getting an actual character development. A bold move. 4. Kanon. Annoyed me to no end, I had hard time watching her interaction with her mother during her route... And the worst thing? It was obvious how it was going to end, they were just delaying the inevita... Wait whaaa? She doesn't abandon her mother like everybody tell her to? She loves her mother and her mother loves her back? She performs beautifully to the song called "Songs My Mother Taught Me"? Well, okay, allow me half an hour to bawl like an infant... Seriously, the family theme strikes again. 5. Haru. Just because of her wits. She doesn't make a good love interest, hate me if you don't agree, but I never once believed she fell for Kyousuke. Also Kyousuke for her. She's not cute and I think it would be better for her and Kyousuke to just stay "allies" throughout the story. But I admit she is a genius and owns a huge share of the game's awesome scenes. Also wtfhair. Honorable mentions? Maou. A great villain, but the post-credits thing was too much. Seriously, I don't remember what motivated him to do that last thing. And Eiichi for being such a weird but very different "Protagonist's Perverted Male Friend". Fun fact, I don't really like Yuki. |

| 1. Maou - Evil mastermind, just loved his character and playful attitude. So smart and always one step ahead, amazing at manipulating people, and his voice acting was godly. Pretty much every scene he was in was exciting to read. 2. Gonzo - Almost every scene he was in it felt like I was being drawn into the computer screen , such a bad ass, charismatic, awesome character . 3. Haru - I actually enjoyed her silly side which I thought was very cute, but of course I loved how intelligent and bad ass she was.. 4. Yuki - She always gave off mysterious , sophisticated, sexy , cool aura. I just love her character design. It was awesome to see how good she was at reading people . And I liked the fact that she care so much for her half sister, and get so emotional about her heinous father, interesting foil to her cool calculated side 5. Kyousuke - A very good protag.. I loved his cynical side , his smart ass attitude, and his intelligence.. throughout the various routes he actually gets very good character development. 6. Eechi : Its hilarious how his perverted/dark side comes out in so many situations, almost always leads to hilarity with kyosuke. He's definitely a comic relief character but I thought many of his interactions with kyousuke were gold haha. Also thought it interesting that even though its seems like his dark persona is his real identity, as you progress throughout the novel you really learn he's definitely a big softie that cares a lot about his friends well being. 7. Tsubaki : I'm a sucker for her love you no matter what character type, and I thought personally she was the cutest girl to romance hands down. I really enjoy that she went through some good character development and introspection in her route too.. 8. Horibe : I just loved his funny comments and accent every scene he was in. He is I guess more of a typical rendition of what you'd expect a yakuza to be like but done pretty well though as the right hand of gonzo. 9. Iwai : Just a true bro to the end. He basically set Haru and Kyouske up for love, bailed them out of the hostage situation, made sure Usami was okay when Kyousuke was in prison... |
