| According to Afternoon magazine, a new anime of Genshiken was announced. Serialization of manga Genshiken was resumed as "Genshiken Nidaime" from 2010. Source: Scan of Afternoon Update from Apr 23rd: The anime, to be named "Genshiken Nidaime", will be a TV series to air in the Summer 2013 season. The studio and many of the staff have changed. | As much as I love more Genshiken anime, I have a sad feeling that it will skip WAAAY ahead just to start with the introduction of this new generation of characters and we won't see ANY of those great stories they didn't get to cover in by the end of the 2nd anime but were still in the manga (Sasahara and Ogiue's relationship develop, the revelation of Ogiue's past and why she claims to hate otaku, Madarame and Saki alone in clubroom before their graduation, etc.) and this makes me very sad... |

| This made my month. I also hope they will continue where they left off with the anime, though. Kind of worries since the rest of the original manga could easily be a single cour alone if I remember correctly. So I hope they won't skip through it fast enough to include Nidaime in a single cour or something like that. Now just a sequel to Kaiji or Akagi (or an adaption of any other Nobuyuki Fukumoto series) and I can't think of any more titles I really want a sequel to that isn't getting one. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
