Wow, that was a tense episode.

The scene with Redruth and Jim conversing at the Fort about there personal treasures was lovely.
Poor Redruth, he will surely be missed. Man, Dezaki does know how to do "Oh shit!" moments and make 'em look easy, just like Kojima with exposition.

I kinda thought that Redruth would be the first one to die, but it was still sad, especially after that conversation with Jim.
But man, am I looking forward to seeing how this continues.
I probably regret this post by now.

I figured Redruth was gonna go when he fell overboard. They're following the traditional dramatic death plan to a T here. I found Silver hanging that bell to be a real dramatic point.

Dang man the first one to go since they hit the island. Kinda sad, but that talk was a classic death flag talk about soon like minutes later. xD

Aww, sad the old man had to go. He was a really caring guy.

That battle after was intense, glad they held out.

RIP Redruth, I didn't expect it to get this tense.

Was wondering how they'd be able to hold out, but it looks like the cabin is easily defensible.

Don't think Silvers camp has a doctor, so malaria could claim quite a few victims.

John Silver regaining his role as the captain of the ship, the war just begun and there's already casualties on both side

There are things in this show that just take me completely out of it, like the ship canons that somehow refuse to take down the gates and the base, and just end up firing in the middle of it, conveniently enough. I suppose the fact that Gray didn't take the chance of ambushing John must have sth to do with their relationship, most probably because he also respects John a lot like Jim? Otherwise I don't see much of a reason for the hesitation, the deed should've been done to avoid further bloodshed.

Anyway, this show is actually very good, much to my surprise. I don't expect much from an anime adaptation of an old English novel, but this turns out to be pretty awesome.
