| Well this first episode was worth the wait. I really enjoyed the music, the song Carole and Tuesday sang together is awesome. The animation is wonderful and I am curious how their story will unfold. The meeting on the bridge and the way their friendship developed felt a little bit rushed though. Well that aside, I loved the setting and how Tuesday's victorian dress contrasted the modern setting. Oh and in case you haven't noticed: that ED is catchy! ;) |

| Seems great, I really liked the first episode. Carole and Tuesday have a great dynamic and I already love both of them. Loved the meeting on the bridge and the little jokes they each made on their names. I think the only thing that was kind of off was the switching between the English and Japanese voices, I guess they wanted to make it feel authentic or whatever but it kinda made it a little awkward in my opinion. It's by no means bad though and I'll probably get used to it. Production seems great too, Bones really going all out these days. Keep up the great work guys. |

| Do the actual singers do the voice acting for the english dub? If so that dub would probably more interesting than the japanese version. The quality in animation is basically movie level and while there are some little mistakes for the audio part, the general quality is still outstanding. |

| An amazing first episode. Good and diversified character design, good scenery, good apparel, good animation, and good main characters! One who "had it all", but felt ultimately suffocated and alone. And one who "had nothing", but is struggling to keep going on with everything she's got. The two of them were on the same wavelength from the start, and I love it! I was also inspired by Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" once, so I totally get Tuesday. It's a uplifting, comforting and inspiring song. Their improvised song sounded great too, I can't wait to hear a more complete version of it and/or the new ones that they are going to compose as they thread their way on this uphill path to stardom! Right now I'm really satisfied, this one seems to have pretty much all that I expected from it. Can't wait for next week. It would be cool if the episodes came out on Tuesdays. lol |

| Was planning on watching this until I realised it won't be legally streamed until the show is over. Decided to wait... but yeah, I don't wanna have to wait another 6 months to see it, so I caved and watched it on a random illegal site. I really enjoyed the first episode! The fact that its set on Mars is really interesting, and Carole and Tuesday are really sweet characters. The song was really nice too (although the switch to English singing was unexpected). Glad I was too impatient to wait for Netflix to release it worldwide. The site I used had awful subs though, so I'll definitely be picking it up on a different one. |

| This was a rather splendid start, I'd must say. =) The setting had me curious, since it's set on Mars, but the visuals for the setting of Alba City looked really stunning. There's always something about a big city being lit up at night that always makes me happy, even though I love my lush countryside and mountainous scenery, too. =3 Carole and Tuesday were able to hit it off nicely and also a lot quicker than I thought they would. Their melodic duet was played nicely. Tuesday's CGI Gibson guitar was a little odd, but the model quality looked good, so I'm satisfied with that. Same goes for the character's singing voices, too. I wasn't expecting them to sing in English, but it only took a few seconds for me to adjust to the different voices and it made the scene even better. This was a great start, in my opinion. Since this is also a 24-episode show, I'm sure that there'll be plenty of character development from the two main girls and also the other characters that had their screentime, too, like the drunk guy as well as Angela. I'm looking forward to seeing more soon. ^_^ |
| A lot of people claiming it's a masterpiece and a few others disappointed. And I agree with them both. The show indeed has a lot of potential for obvious reasons, but this first episode had a lot of mistakes storywise. Both characters introduction were really cliche (teen who doesn't feel confortable with rich family fight for his/her dreams and poor character is extremelly talented but doesn't have an oportunity to shine); it's clear that other voice actors are singing, which is extremelly annoying; it doesn't try to appeal with the story, but only with atmosphere and songs (I know it's just the 1st episode, but still, beside of the well made world they've created, there isn't a lot of interesting stuff happening on the plot) I had other problems with the show, but those are much more personal: I didn't really mind the "american style" on previous Netflix animes, but I think this one is really too much. And I'm hyping a lot of epic stuff recently (Game of Thrones this sunday, Avengers Endgame and Shingeki no Kyojin part 2 at the end of the month), so maybe I'm not on the mood of watching a slice of life show right now |

| Good first episode with some fine world building to start. This anime has a lot of potential, and the aesthetics are absolutely gorgeous. |
| And so, a bond was formed ♡ What a nice introduction and setting up the scene with each of the girls. I'm in love with Carole. The atmosphere definitely has a style, and I'm not left behind by the world-building that's been presented. It's still crazy to me that they're on Mars and not just some far-into-the-future Earth. The english singing caught me off guard. The bridge scene with the humming tho? Such a mood. |
| Finally got to watch it! I think this is going to be my favourite of the season easily, I love music and watanabe! So excited this has 24 episodes as well. |

| This anime looks good. I like how the characters are introduced but it seemed a bit hasty that in the first episode the girls have already formed a group considering that the series has 24 episodes. Still, it's a good start. |

| Wow, what a first episode. The girls are very likeable and there's real chemistry between them. Can already see the drunk musician guy as their grumpy mentor/agent (kind of cliché but I like it). Art is great, specially the character designs, which aren't moe for once. The song performance was amazing, the kind you rarely see in anime. People seem to have an issue with the change from Japanese to English during the song, but having grown in a non-English speaking country I'm used to this in hollywood dubs, so it doesn't bother me at all. That said, I'll definetely give the English dub a try when it comes out, I feel it'll suit the characters very well. All in all a very good start for a very promissing show. Only thing that concerns me is the scene with the teen model and the emontionless AI guy, which seems to be setting them up as antagonists for the girls. Hope they don't overdo it and they become more 'friendly rivals' than actual enemies. |
| I liked it. First and foremost, thank you to POST APOCALYPTIC SUBS for fan subbing this show since Netflix decided to be a huge pile of crap once again. Not gonna lie I had watery eyes when Carole first started humming her melody. That melody is just beautiful. I really really adore Carole's design. It's really unique. It looks like Carole grew up in a orphanage or some sorts and Tuesday has lived a wealthy live so far but decided to run away. Both love music, both have a dream to convey emotions over music and become successful. The world building and the aesthetics look pretty good. The story takes place on Mars and the way they presented the cities and the technology with AI's mostly taking over the jobs for ordinary humans etc. Gave it a solid feeling. Wtf was Angela's "mom" Lots of character animation. I liked it. Only thing that bugs me is the CG guitar. Like why? It looks out of place. I hope this story of the road to success doesn't become dry or boring. I really wish for this anime to become something special. It's only my second real anime about music and the first one Shigatsu became one of my favorite animes ever so I do have hopes for this one. |
| Solid start with characters that shows potential for a fun ride. Not sure about English songs though, I guess Watanabe really wants to make this big? It sounds good at least |

| I had high hopes for this after hearing whose working on it, so far it has potential only personal grip i have is why are their english VA for the singing only!? i'd be fine if both the dub had it as well but to have the girls that both don't look Japanese due to the very futuristc western setting still speaking it then to go into english when the music happens just feels super jarring to me. at this rate i'd kinda would want to see the dub since this already feels pretty western to me if we can't get both VAs lol but hey it looks decent thanks to bones and the music is good which is the main selling point will also say our girls got buddy buddy real quick! |

| This is really good. I cried a bit when I heard the music. It gives American vibes rather than like a typical Anime. The music is soooooooooooo good holy smokes! Might be Anime of the Season. | Now that was spectacular. By far and between the best first ep I've watched this season. This was the anime I was most excited about coming into the season and wow it did not disappoint. If I have any complaints it's that things went quite fast regarding to two MC's, but this is original and I'm just gonna assume they wanted to get the introductions done with quickly. But man what an incredibly vibrant world they've built. You can pause on so many frames and take in so many details from the background to learn about the world. It helps that the art and animation are also gorgeous. Lest we forget that stellar soundtrack. All the insert tracks fit so well; even the mid ep transition jig was great. But holy hell those English vocals caught me off guard. That was beauftiful. It was certainly an English VA right? No way the Japanese VA has English that good. |

Aside from the fact that Netflix just license even the series exclusive to their service like Devilman and Ultraman with them buying the exclusive distribution rights from the committee of the anime, this series aired on Fuji TV ultra+ block which is in japanese TV. Besides this very fact that it was on japanese TV, the anime had it's own production committee which are the companies that ACTUALLY funded and planned this series, with the credits of the own companies at the ending of the anime  Which translates to in the very order of funding: Flying Dog Fuji TV Bones Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures Hakuhodo DY Media Partners BS Fuji Also lastly and only for the first guy, there's almost no hype for Carole and Tuesday in Japan. Original series don't have such things, unlike series that are adaptations which already have a fanbase in different sizes from the original source that will watch the anime. Which of course, it's pretty much the same in the west and outside of Japan, with the difference that here originals are viewed in a different form. |

| Mars? Well that was unexpected... Holy crap, someone took the time to draw all the decorations in that room... Lol rechargeable luggage. Hot damn, the background art on everything! EVERYTHING! Life is harsh on Mars... Tuesday born on a Tuesday, Carole born on Christmas...lel... Angela's mom...SO WOMANLY! So Carole does the composition while Tuesday does the lyrics... Nana meets Macross, and it's funny that I mention Macross since Shinichiro Watanabe was also the director of Macross Plus. A sci-fi city where two girls from different backgrounds come together to compose music. They went ALL IN on the background art. So much detail, and very colorful CGI. I don't think there will be another anime this year that will surpass this when it comes to background art. A simple start of introducing the characters. And it looks like the music will exclusively be sung in English. I wonder how the Japanese audience will view that. Looking forward to the rest of this series. |

| I'm glad that this anime was produced! I have super high hopes and everyone else should too. It's what a lot of people should be watching. I've always had a sweet spot for musical anime's in my heart and just hearing the first snippet of a song had my strings pulled. The girls relationship will turn out so damn good and i'm here for it. I followed them on Instagram when they only had 10k, let's see that number again in about a week. |

| I like the pleasant tone of the anime. Both girls are lovely characters as well. Hopefully, we get to hear the full composed song soon. Love the ED song too, cute and catchy! |

These illegal sites have dogshit quality with cancer ads, and they upload random subs (just whatever comes up first, even Google TL). Just go to PAS (proper fansub) website directly and call it a day. And you don't give money to pirates this way. They don't have porn ads. |

| A good start to the 2-cour series. Carole and Tuesday, both girls really have a close resemblance to Nana, but that's where the similarities end. Amazing art and animation for the 20-year-old studio. Bones has gone from glory to glory. Can't wait to definitely see more of this. |
