Oh right, they got different types of clubs in their animal society. Even though there are different species, I find it fascinating how different characters react to each other.

With the theater performance club, I think they stand out as a major attraction. Some of their character personalities really resemble how human performers would behave. I also love some of the scenery this episode.

im not an expert on CGI (i can barely tell between 2D and 3D in scenes where they mix them together like the plant pots in episode 2) so I dunno if the CGI in this episode is good or not, but I personally really like the way they animated those furs and the tail. Feels so soft and fluffy...

Haru's color looks a little sandy in the beginning, probably cause of the light in the room

I love the scene where Louis stood under the spotlight and practiced the sword moves. Dope af

also love the 'filler' content of Legosi catching his tail when he closed the door (i don't think that was in the manga?) that was hilarious, and perfect for the scene

the ending where we see the curtain closing from louis' eyes is brilliant. love how they kept it vague whether the curtain actually closed fully or not, making it perfect for Louis' question that'll come in the next episode when he wakes up

Haven't seen it yet but I saw Toho posting a "new" ending which is sick honestly. Great to know they'll do this for each episode !
Anyway, can't wait to watch the theater club's play 😆

Well, those two of the photography club (or was journalism?) are pretty much screwed, Louis was over at the end of its first performance, he really has a identity problem. And yeah, new ED in this episode, is this gonna be a thing in this anime?

Very interesting episode, especially when it comes to Louis' character.

One theory I have about Louis' behavior is that he, like Legosi, wants to go against "his own nature", in his case being weak prey. However, Louis does it because he has something to prove. He can't seem to stand carnivores (probably some traumatic past in there if we take mongoose's dialogue into account) so he is royally pissed that Legosi is basically doing the same thing he is doing by refusing to follow "his nature", in his case being a predator.

It's like he not only wants to prove that the system of prey and predator can be overcome, but HE HAS TO BE THE ONE PROVING IT, it by showing that hervivores can be as strong as carnivores instead of having Legosi prove it by showing that carnivores can be as compassionate as hervivores, because that would shatter Louis' vision of the world where carnivores are "the baddies" to be overcome. Its a very interesting character dynamic between the two, and I want to see where it goes.

But I'm really liking the VA for Legosi, he's portraying it so well. Surprised Louis' ankle held out for so long though, wonder what the crowd reaction is gonna be

Mmmm and I can already smell the Legosi x Haru ship from a mile away. Although that segment with Louis could be a curveball Legosi x Louis ship hahahah jk....unless?

She looked really happy with how he reacted though.

Comparing this to the manga, they did speed up the progress a bit but it isn't bad.

I'm so excited for next episode omg.

If Louis isn't grabbing someone's tail, he sticking his goddamn hand in their mouth, telling them to bite him. Jesus Christ, what a rude Bambi.

My favorite part was Legosi freaking out at Haru's advances, covering her up and accidentally closing the door on his poor tail.

I can't wait for the next episode! :)

Dude Legosi is my boy!!! Easily one of the best characters this year. First off the animation when the Bunny was rubbing her hands through his Fur...holy crap that was so smooth!!!

But then my man throwing that blanket over her to cover her up...MY MAN!!!

The moment he slammed his tail in the door lol.

Damn Louis taking a tumble at the end. Im starting to dislike him each week.

Good character just starting to dislike him personally.

This weeks ending was good. I look forward to a new ending each week

Firstly I want to say I am reading the manga and don´t worry I am not spoiling anything. Just wanted to say that the world gets flashed out a lot in the manga to the point of having chapters with different oneoff characters (which are well done by the way) which build the world and give lots of interesting infos.

Also characters from different species discuss their differences and at some plot points these differences become relevant.

I think it´s sad that the adaptation probably won´t have the time to include some of the worldbuilding stuff.

Lol Legosi ran away as fast as he could. Thou it seems both of them took a liking to each other.

Louise is a really self centered guy but he worked hard to pull that off even with his leg in that state. Well looks like he won't make it to the second days show.

Anyway watching all the different species interacting with each other is really fascinating.

That little usagi-chan sure hops down a lot ;-)

I was proud when Legoshi turned her down, showing that gentlemanly vibes to her. It shows he respects her and doesn't see her as just another prey to feast on, something guys should learn from him. There's a difference between an elegant gentleman and a lowly mongrel, and Legoshi falls into the former.

Oh, no! Louis, after giving such a stellar performance. I hope they won't kill him off, judging by that "death flag trigger talk" with Legoshi.

Damn poor Legosi, since he is such a large male predator everyone fears him and he knows that so he tries to hide in the shadows but in doing so he fucked up his ego to the point that Haru getting on him has been the first time in his 16(?) years that he felt as a male.

Damn, that was some rejection from Legosi xD. Really liked how he defended her later on after that, he really is a kind-hearted person. So nice to see him happy over being treated as a male though, I'm sure he's been through a lot and I certainly hope this doesn't mean bad luck will haunt him now. Some fantastic buildup to that plus the performance, I've to say.

Anyway, that was some solid performance from Louis-senpai. The Stage is his battlefield and he sure lived up to the expectations but it looks like the injury has finally taken a toll on him. Being treated like a Herbivore under the pretense of the Carnivores must be tough but I just love the way that's being displayed here from his perspective. I'm looking forward to more moments between him and Legosi, I feel like they're slowly coming to terms of sorts by the minute and I honestly can't wait to see where it goes by the end of the run.

Cool ED of the week. Having a ED a week, I'm honestly a little let-down by that because I really liked the previous one but hey this wasn't half-bad at all so here's to hoping they'll be just as good as these in the coming weeks.

Looking forward to more!

I liked Legosi's dichotomy in the first 2 episodes about his passive nature in wild carnivore like him, and the way he talked seemed natural. But in this third episode, most of his dialogues feel incredibly long winded and over dramatic for no reason, like when he was talking with Legosi in his chamber or throwing an internal monologue of Louis while he's on stage. With Louis I totally see this way of talking or internal monologues because he's pretty much the spotlight at the stage and it helps him perform a role, but with Legosi it just sounds unnatural and almost taken out of any common light novel source.

Man I love the directing in this series. That split screen shot with Louis' eyes following Legoshi's hands was so cool. Louis has quite the complex tho. There's no way he's gonna be able to perform the second night. That was a nasty snap I heard when he first ran onto stage.

So Haru is a "slut", the bad, bad rabbit who seduces the poor, defenceless males. She is being ostracized for it, while the one who cheated on his girlfriend isn't judged at all. Typical. Good thing Legoshi didn't buy it, and that his meeting with her even helped him to have a better look at himself. His tail wagging was really cute, and I can't wait to see them meeting again.

Louis-senpai is really intense too. I felt a sad anger towards himself for being a herbivore, and it's true he's an amazing actor, and maybe even the sole reason people care about the Drama Club, but he wasn't doing that play alone, so it's sad that he kind of isolates himself like that, trying to carry all the weight. And I'm worried about his leg too, he forced it way too much. Can't wait to know more about him though.

The cinematography on this show is quite good imo, definitely a nice surprise.

I also like how the characters are staying away from overused anime tropes, and the extra effort put on the characters body language.

I really hope the bunny girl has a backstory as to why she acts the way she does. Otherwise it would be weird to have compassion for a character that is in every sense of the word, a, THOT. But I think she has a reason for it, so i'm hoping thats the case.

Still don't want legoshi to get involved with her.

Funny that I read a bit more of the manga today and actually surpassed what was adapted here... the pacing they are going with is faster than the manga's but noneless fits right in, and the way they go and adapt the more psychological scenes is a really nice bonus.
This is a really enjoyable series for me thus far, and having seen hints of what happens later on in the manga, I will just keep liking it more and more, same for the anime as long as they keep this quality.
Want to talk about the Dark Horse of the season, talk about this one.

There are some guidelines for the ED it seems, similiar structure to the previous ED, but noneless outstanding work, if they plan to really capture the mood of each episode in their ED, individually like this, genious and effort well placed beyond a doubt.

Well...shit went down quick. But Legosi was quick to evade Haru's usual advances and leave unscathed. And while everyone is quick to judge, Legosi on the other hand, is just too innocent to know of anything of sort of love and relationships.

On the subject of drama, Legosi being assertive and reserved doesn't do favours for Louis, whose trying to bring his best out, but at a high cost of sacrificing personality.

The name of the game, playing slow and steady, is the pacing so far. Which is serving good so far.

ED is crazily good, though it will defer each and every time.
