Man, that was fucking heavy and hard to watch. That's good drama. I can already tell how irritated I'm going to be at the end of the season when this slides by unnoticed while the light shines on something undeserving.

God what a great ep. The OST and direction were as spot-on as ever, that entire play scene was riveting to watch. I fucking love the voice actors they've chosen for this show, and the characters so far, with every episode I'm loving this style of writing more and more. Hats off yet again to Studio Orange.

also what's with the consistent amount of people giving this show's eps 1's and 2's? Do people seriously just have a hateboner for this show because of the anthro animals? Or is it the CG?

Woof... and I say that unironically.

Everything since the beginning of ep 1, has kind of gotten me to forget the whole murder at the very start. Then again, whenever it's brought up, you kinda have to start thinking whoever did it, but man, everyone seems (mostly) nice, and it's almost a little sad to start thinking of them like that.

Still, the show has been a nice ride, and it was quite nice seeing Legosi kicking some tiger-ass.
"You know you've reached peak quality when a doujin is better than the actual source series." (Eg. To LOVE-Ru)

Just to list a couple of biases.
Likes: A good story, characters, writing, romance, a good plot twist or something that breaks expectations (In a good way), 'backstory' and justice.
Dislikes: Bad romance, too much fanservice, the harem genre, yuri, yaoi, and bad writing.

They've made a few changes in this episode but overall it's quite good.

1. in the manga Louis overheard the conversation between Bill and Legosi in the restroom, and Bill didn't drop the bottle of blood on stage.

2. The conversation in the restroom ended a bit different.

3. During the fight on stage, Legosi wasn't wearing his shirt in the manga, and therefore the scratches look a lot more hideous and painful

4. The stance Louis took when he appeared to save Legosi (and to fix this mess of a show) is also different.

5. In the manga, Bill was so intimidated of Louis at that scene he even saw Louis' body enlarging and wings sprouting out of his back.

That makes it seem as if Bill ran away in fear. However, in the anime, Bill just ran away after Louis showed up, it seems as if he did it to help fix this mess he created and so the show can go on. Also, Louis was wearing his cast in the manga when he showed up on stage, and he wasn't in the anime.

6. The way Legosi got chosen to play the role is also a big different. Instead of hiding behind the whiteboard, he just crouched.

I love that last scene where Legosi and Louis both stood on stage under the light, despite their difference in height, they seem to be on equal footing. It really showed how Louis is so important of a character in this show he's practically the second main protagonist aka the deuteragonist.

I hope after this episode more people will start to like Louis. He's really not a bad guy once you get to know who he truly is. The real him is not arrogant, or an asshole. All that is a facade he's forced to put up due to his backstory (which we will see in around episode 6 or 7).
actually the anime was better more than manga

The Fight animation looked really smooth! I really cringed when he started scratching his back, they did a great job at getting the pain across lol. Really happy with the adaptation so far.

It looks like he's JoJo posing

There's honestly tons of JoJo posing in the manga.

Legosi finally started to break out of his shell. Lol the moment rabbit blood was mentioned infront of him he lost control. Also felt bad for Bill Louise senpai came and stole the spotlight from him.

Louis has it all bad, now that his injury has got him serious and bedridden.

But that fight choreography, WOW that was breathtaking, even for a rehearsal of sorts. As a result of Louis being hospitalised, Bill the Tiger took his place, and looks onset to achieve the same fervour and uphold the deer's image as the current Beastar.

No 2 persons are the same, and Legosi's revenge is as hot as rabbit's blood. And the play...which was once a play, turned into something almost extraordinary. All players revert to their usual roles, and Louis landed the biggest role.

Spectacular episode, nothing short of outstanding.

Using herbivore blood as an analogy for drugs? That's GENIUS!

Very nice episode this week. The way how the emotions of the characters during the play were portrayed was great and the last scene with Louis entering the stage to save Legoshi while being in character was easily, my favorite part.

On a side note, I only wish the framerate were higher but other than that, the overall directing of the episode was fantastic.

P.S.: So... I guess we will have a "new" ED every week, uh?

This is such a good show man. I'm in love with it. I also loved Louis from the start. I don't know why everyone hated him to begin with. I really like all the characters and liek how the drama feels real and not fake or forced.
I had to change this because some loser couldn't make an actual argument. So....yeah I hope you guys like the new sig.

It's utterly criminal that this show is barely at a 8.00 rating on MAL.

This is a strong AOTY contender. Something I deemed as a "furry" anime just by looking at the cover art, turned out to be amazing. I really hope the quality doesn't drop.

Louis saved the day. ;D Even with broken leg. That Bill the tiger really got into his new role too much, lol.

I hope Legosi won't become a simp later on. Like, it's fine he fell in love (kinda), but he shouldn't have acted that impulsively.

Finally came around to watch episode 3 and 4 !

Oh boy, let me tell you once again how grateful I am that Orange made the conflict between Legosi and Bill so impactful and even more ! Legosi and Bill VA's were astounding in their prestation and the choreography too were superb and nicely took advantage of the medium (CGI) they're using.

Then, Louis came and we got an emotional resolution that really makes me appreciate even more this moment.
It was originally at that moment in the manga where I knew what I was reading was probably one of the best pieces of media from this decade.
Thanks to Paru and Studio Orange once again !

Now, I rest my fear aside to what's coming. The show officially starts now !

Geat episode. Their play is quite good and intense. Many unexpected things happened. So, Leouis actually is a good guy. But Legoshi, I don't understand his actions, thoughts sometimes. Cuz he goes from being so humble to being murderous instantly from time to times. Nevertheless, they both are great characters. Guess that Tiger is the cultript..

So is the blood used as a drug in this universe? Do feel a little bad for the tiger since he has to fill in for the most popular guy in the school. Also that play sure went sideways really fast lol. The tiger dude sure has some pride of being a carnivore but maybe a little to much. I guess the ED will always be different?

Damn, new ending was great! Not expected to see the whole episode just for the stage performance only for the sake of Louis and Legosi bromance development. That thing kinda easy to predict in before the drama come to its peak. Poor Bill, tho. He doesn't get the full attention because he just a true killer on the academy. I guess its predictable to seeing Bill as a potential villain through the first scenes with Tem's homicidal. His shadow make me believe my statement there, and ofc he will fully raise some hatred toward Louis and Legosi. The show begin to reach its peak when all the progression reach some real big problem when the time has comes.

Another trivia: is the bunny blood really can served as some kind of an inducement like Bill said to Legosi?

Man what is happening? Why is the wolf the way he is? Often acts like a good, quiet guy but clearly isn't.

The whole tiger v wolf fight felt out of proportion. And did the tiger not even use the blood?

I like the show; its storytelling and introspective nature of the characters. But I don't think I "get" it yet.

That Legoshi-Bill performance was fantastic in its direction. I could feel the blood boiling from both Legoshi and Bill during that confrontation center stage as Legoshi is mad about how Bill took rabbit's blood to dope and prepare for his performance and reflected on his time with Haru previously and how much he cared for her and pained to see someone like her be affected for that kind of fashion. Louis coming in to save Legoshi like that and confront Bill was also a great move that added a lot more to the performance as a whole, saving it from further chaos too in the process. Just a good episode in holding all the eyes of the audience in the anime and the people who watch the show, glued to the screen.

The ad-libbing between the trio was amusing while at the same time also being uncomfortable, a big yikes for Legosi though
