Other than that underground ep this has got to be another one of my favourites...

3 more eps to go until the 2nd cour, which I heard was much better in terms of art and story =D

Probably my favorite episode of the series [both seasons]. It so perfectly captures everything that the world is about, the loss of one's memories and the pain of remembering. Take out the giant robots and it's a Hollywood noir.

I knew that woman was responsible for the bombings.

Also, isn't that explosion at the end going to cause collateral damage?

An amazing concept of an episode; the most impressive of the show so far. I wasn't THAT touched in the end (compared to others in this thread), because I saw the "terrorist bomber" identity coming but that didn't prevent me from admiring its execution.

I think this show started to get really good from episode 7 onwards since I feel like the overarching idea about the value of memories (beneath all the episodic premises) that relates to the forgotten people and civilisation 40 years ago really intriguing to follow. What impressed me even more is how they develop/explore this theme more closely each episode from 7-10 (thus far) and they're connected together nicely as well into an all-encompassing notion. My impression from these last 4 episodes is that the city Roger Smith and Dorothy live in might eventually be unraveled as a "dystopia" due to its missing humane elements. Definitely the later, upcoming episodes will answer my prediction (regardless if I'm right of wrong).

Episodes 7-10 are easily 9.5/10 and/or 10/10 episodes for me.

Can't say I find this episode that touching because I don't get the meaning of it. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Perhaps it's something about the repetition of events from memories/films/parents.

Didn't feel bad for the sister because she asked for it. Like she literally asked to get shot.

Also, Roger is Spike and Daston is Jet, down to the sideburns, lost past, and black dog attitude.

Wow, I'm fucking confused.

I thought the woman was Sybil Rowan's daughter since Roger suspected there are no records of her having a daughter.

But now that you think about it. It kinda make sense that it's Dastun's sister. Both watched Rowan's film when they were a kid on a movie theater with their mother. Even have the same balloon.

It probably touched both of them and inspired them.

Dastun who became a loyal watchdog to the Paradigm, even if he is only a watch dog. He still has his pride. And his sister, who probably got inspired by Rowan's role herself. Being the anti-government and all.

This whole memory wipe thing really sucks. Dastun may never know that he unintentionally killed his sister.

i went into this series with high hopes, and i don't think i'm really getting that tbh. In general i'm not a fan of monster of the week stories, and outside of the animation this show is doing nothing for me.

Not really liking that there has to be a robot fight every episode, ending was peak though.
