| Anyone see it? What did y'all you think? Personally I thought it was bad. The episodes were about five minutes long with little coherent plot. The recognizable scenes from the manga were given no context, and were usually either disjointed or static. They call it "experimental," so that should be a tip off right there. Hopefully someone will make a descent anime out of it, but probably not. |

| It seemed to me like it was a lot more like reproductions of certain parts of the manga. I think it was supposed to be a sort of fan service more than an actual comprehensive movie. I admit, I didn't like it either. That new BLAME project looks promising though, especially if its being handled by the same people who did Appleseed. |

| Well, I consider it a trailer of sorts that only gives some insight of the real thing's visual style, atmosphere, characters, intellectual level and overall complexity -- actually pretty much everything besides the story itself. And I think it does it well (personally I first saw the OVA, it amazed me with its style and atmosphere so then I decided to pick up the manga). Well, it still would be great if there was a good anime version -- somewhat like Ergo Proxy I say. And I have some doubts about that new CG project starting from whether it's really going to happen (for there are no news for about a year now) and to was it actually a good choice making it CG (I would prefer usual animation that's for sure). We'll see I guess. |
