| The 2017 series isn't bad but the old one had more memorable and impactful stories, kept a consistent tone, had better character designs and just looked better in general. |

| In my opinion, the 2017 anime doesn’t even compare to the 2003 anime. |
| I like 2017 one more, it has a multiple cast focus and some what brighter. 2003 one is darker and edgier and too abstract sometimes. Though in a sense both are actually same. There are only 2 key difference in my opinion. One would be adaptation approch (like how hxh original and remake differ).Other would be that story has progressed in 2017, multiple cast are present. The psychology explored is not anymore just dark and tragic, its from a neutral point of view including positive and negetive Though I do recommend watching both of them because its not a full remake, each has there own separate chapters not adapted in other. |

| I like both, but 2003 is a bit better imo. 2003 has better atmosphere and impact while 2017 has really great visuals. Both tell really great stories though. |
