| Fantastic ending to a series I wasn't too sure about at the start. The messages and the lessons it delivered in the series were so well done. The drama was never dull and kept me interested at all times which is hard to accomplish imo. The directing was so damn good, especially episodes like Episode 7 of "Memories" and Episode 6 of "Melodies". Definitely one of my favourite romantic drama anime I've seen. Easy 9/10 for both seasons. |

| I'm really glad that Himura got the closure he needed after all those years. A bittersweet and very worthwhile story. Random sidenote, it's kinda funny how Chihiro's Santa outfit that'd normally be impractical for a regular chilly Christmas might actually be too hot for Australia lol |

| ef felt like a work of art, a messy one full of melodrama but with an engaging story. It's a bit of a shame this anime has been overlooked by many people, it's genuinely good. Also, this anime is the PERFECT example of what happens when you don't go to therapy. Literally everyone there needed some treatment for their PTSD and thus 90% of the conflict of the anime would have been saved. |

| And now the OP is in full color. Everyone's able to break from their chains and move forward, and Yuuko has her wings. ef is a great anime, but not one I could bear watching twice. It's hard to stomach with how heavy it is, but damn if it wasn't an amazing experience. |
| What a phenomenal ending! Everything wrapped up so perfectly! I didn't think I would like this season as much as the first quite honestly and it took me a bit to get invested, but this really hooked me! Stuff like this makes me wish I was actively watching anime back then to experience this as it was airing (even if I wouldn't get to experience the dub that I watched during my watchthrough of this series) I really wish VN adaptations were more common, because if any of them are half as good as this, we need to bring back the era of constant VN adaptations! |
| Even though EF Melodies had a much more important story overall than EF Memories, I found Melodies to honestly be less captivating than Memories. Ive never been a big fan of long flashbacks, which was basically half of the Melodies anime. I also didnt like that the blonde girl in this Melodies anime had such a huge role, like, in Memories she was basically a comedic background character, and in Melodies now, shes one of the main characters. I also didnt like that she was the main love interest for the Violin guy, since I feel like their romance came out of nowhere. And also, just like Memories, Melodies had the issue that getting through an episode can be a drag, that you just wanna press the forward key tons of times to get through an episode until the interesting moments arrive. I did like how many of the questions we had in Memories were solved in Melodies, like the Twins meeting up in person. I also liked how every character in Memories is connected to all the characters in Melodies in some way. I also liked how Melodies had its intense scenes just like Memories had their own intense scenes Anywho, Melodies was definitely a bigger and more important storyline than Memories, but it was also more forgettable in the end when compared to Memories. |
