This is the only word I can think of when I think of how this show ended up. It was awful. I usually like shoujo but this? This was shoujo at its worst. I don't even know where to begin. The characters barely developed and were still obnoxious at the end. The art style and animation choices in some of the episodes were nauseating and completely left the watcher wondering what happened. The romance barely developed more than from just where it began with Kai taking taking Uka under his wing. I don't even know why he likes her from how he feels at the beginning from what we are shown in the series. Nothing in their dynamic changed really. She stood up for herself a couple times but still also let herself get made fun of right until the end. It felt like forced progress and episodes that should have taken more time to develop their stories were wrapped up so fast because they wanted to fit it in a 24 minutes block. Then that ending with Kai being extra and telling the whole school that he likes her at an assembly which like, why??? Why at that time. They could have made a public confession in another way that didn't feel forced and cringe. Then everyone just likes her because he does and she has all the friends ever. It feels like the shoujo equivalent of a power fantasy isekai. Terrible show 3/10.

Ro-romance?! We got romance in this show?! Wow… sighs Finally, after all the suffering I endured.

Uka’s just hopeless—only the bare minimum of character development, and it’s the last episode! She was losing ground before she could even take a step, if not for Serina showing up and giving her that much-needed push.

Later, Kai confesses first—which honestly was for the best, because Uka would’ve made a complete mess of that scene and made it painfully awkward to watch. But girl… how are you still running away from him like that after the confession and that goddamn kiss?! Like, why would anyone still have expectations for you?! I did, but you crushed them so hard they’re irreversible.

The only characters who really made the show watchable were the side cast and the male MC to some extent. And how is this not the end of the series? With how those two are right now… yeah, I guess it makes sense.

The finale of the series. Kai and Uka are trying to figure out their relationship. The whole school is watching their every move.

Not bad for a high school romance drama.

Good ol' Shoujo with moments here and there that were a little too slow for my liking but overall, I've been missing these kind of shows, in all honestly. We didn't really get to the end of the Kai-bullying scene which honestly was a pity because we were starting to really see him in his most genuine and raw self but I guess it was introduced a little too late. Regardless, the journey of Ishimori-chan was heartwarming and the side cast excelled too. Honey Lemon Soda, I'm glad the studio went with accompanying visuals and themes to suit the name.

Some of the choppy direction definitely stood out, we didn't get that often in this genre. One of the mid-episodes felt like a mess but I feel like it was fitting for Episode 11, we got to have a feel for how fast things were progressing for Ishimori-chan a lot better that way.

7/10 from here.

i just love Uka´s character development and Kai and Uka make a wonderful couple!!!
I wish Ayane would get her own confession as well... sadly we don´t see it.

I love these type of shojo animes.
I couldn´t watch the ending before, I´m so glad I finally watched it!!!

WELL IT REALLY SUCKS THAT THEY REMOVED THE WHITE HAIRED TEACHER FROM THE ANIME COMPLETELY.. like why the heck would they do that?!?!?!
didnt the anime script adapters read the manga?!?!

i saw posts that say he was removed becuz he was creepy... but he actully wasnt.. manga readers know it and it also explained why he acted the way he did..
NOT TO MENTION HE WAS SUPER IMPORTANT FOR MIURA TO REALIZE HIS FEELINGS FOR UKA... and he was actully a very good teacher..

the decision to remove him entirely was so stupid. it ruined part of the plot for me

sadly anime adaptions lately became very bad for some reason :<

this season should have had the normal 24 episodes for shojo adaptions. so many important scene were omitted and the time was filled with fillers.. like why

I usually hate public confessions but they managed to make this one not TOO cheesy (still a little cheesy) while also being a perfect character moment for Uka to own her feelings in front of everyone. We also know people would freak out if Kai was taken and got that little moment at the end, too.

Uka cries so much man lmao. At least three times this episode, I think? She’s such a mess but I don’t think a shojo romance with this animation quality would have been any fun if the main character wasn’t a mess lol. Probably my unexpected good watch for the season.
@BrettWatchesTV
it was not a confession though... it was just asking the date.. the real conffesion was private after the sports festival...
i wish they would have followef the source material more closely

@Kyonman read the manga!!! trust!!!
the reason the characters feel undeveloped its becuz the anime decided to remove a character that helped the mcs with growth and miura to realize his feelings...

that wasnt even a confession.. cuz he confessed in private to her.. but they didnt decide that they would date.
anyway,... READ THE MANGA ASAP .. ALL THE THINGS THAT WERE LACKING IN THE ANIME ARE IN THE MANGA

one think about uka is that she was always bullied... even though she learned to stand up for herself and started to heal her mental wounds.. its very hard: its 1 step forwards 10 steps back. it takes time... manga depict it way better.

@narutosister A bit late of a response from me but thank you for the message! Im glad to hear that the manga portrayed it better. Im surprised that the anime decided to get rid of an important character all together. I know when my fiancée and I watched this we were wondering why the MCs felt undeveloped but with a whole character being gone from the story it makes sense now. Thank you for letting me know! We'll have to check out the manga then.

Miura, that absolute madlad, had the guts to step up at the school assembly and ask Uka out in front of the entire school—just like that—before walking off the stage like it was no big deal. The reactions that followed, especially from the other girls who were left heartbroken, were honestly hilarious. I couldn’t help but laugh at the chaos XD.

That said, I’m genuinely happy for Miura and Uka. Despite all the awkwardness, hesitation, and setbacks, they’ve finally ended up together, which I thought was a perfect conclusion to the anime’s final episode. Honestly, this series had a lot to offer in terms of character development. It wasn’t the best I’ve seen, but it definitely kept me entertained from start to finish
.

The animation was solid throughout, with the previous episode's quirky, unique style being my personal highlight. The music was another consistent strength; it really set the tone for each scene. As for the characters, Ayumi stole my heart with her unwavering support for Uka, not to mention her genuinely kind personality.

All things considered, I’d give this one a 7/10. It might not be a masterpiece, but it’s definitely one I’ll look back on fondly.

Well I didn't like the show much and I find it pretty boring. Some sequences did not even make sense. I don't see this anime getting a sequel.

The direction and animation felt mediocre. I'm guessing the manga is much better. Haven't read it though.

There were a lot of useless side characters. No development or whatsoever for them. I don't even remember some of them.
