| It's pretty generic, but the language difference aspect added some flavors to it. It's nice to finally see Sally Amaki being utilized way more in anime. Her voicing the English dub version of Tomo-chan was a good start, but it's nice seeing her speak English in the actual original version of an anime. This anime probably has the best English spoken by the main character |

| The female MC's VA did an amazing job speaking English! She sound a little like the training samples you might hear in a language training app, but he pronunciation is really good. Way better than I've heard from any other VA. |

| I was about a 7 during the first half but by the end of the episode this is a solid 9 for me honestly. Such a cute concept honestly and the art has some fun styling. I loved the House of the Dead arcade shooter sequence, especially with visiting a lot of Game Centers growing up the whole thing is very nostalgic. |

| I don't think I've ever watched an anime where the main character always speaks in another language. Usually it's just every now and then or a few lines in the first ep to show they are foreign. This is nice. Duolingo the anime? |

| the engrish is horrible, even squid game did better at grabbing random foreigners in korea for the vips, they should've done the same Shuu Uchida should've taken the role, Aussie accent is the closest to british, Sally Amaki did okay tho |

| Lily has a goal. The first episode was good. Lily is very cute. The seiyuu speaks English very well. The opening and ending are good.  |

I’d say Renji was at fault, because he knows what Valentine’s is and he made a mistake and because he only speaks broken English. And just when I thought he had learned from his mistake, he made another one. Whatever, really. |

| I initially didn't have much interest in this show but decided to give it a shot because of Sally Amaki. And boy am I glad I did because this is so cute. Sally Amaki is so good. Probably the most convincing English voice by a Japanese voice actress I've seen so far. It boggles my mind that she isn't more popular. I also thought she'd also do the English dub voice like she did Carol in Tomo-chan but it seems not. Would've been cool tho. Also, it's funny how Lily's mom has more Engrish than her lol. What an adorable show. I'm gonna ignore the age gap cause it doesn't seem like that kind of show to take romance seriously. It's not the worst age gap I've seen in anime either. I wouldn't even notice it if not for the comments here mentioning it. All the game references are awesome too from Taiko no Tatsujin to House of the Dead. The Town of the Dead alone seemed to have 3 different references: The House of the Dead, Resident Evil and Devil May Cry lol. The only thing I'd say would improve this show is if it used real life video games but I'm assuming the publisher couldn't get license like other series' such as Isekai Ojisan. Bit of a shame but oh well. I like the Taiko no Tatsujin inspired ED. Great first episode. I'll keep watching it. |
