The noble of Lizel, as calm as he comes wanting to learn of the world that like an Isekai reincarnation trope he's unfamiliar of, in order not to get in trouble being his first time around. | Nice opening episode I like how chill Lizel is and how he just wants to explore the world around him. |

This show is very chill. It can be good timepass show!
I need somebody who can love me at my worst No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth 'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst If you stay forever, let me hold your hand I can fill those places in your heart no else can Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

I enjoyed the first episode a lot! It was different and very interesting that the main character got teleported to a place that wasn't entirely new to him. And the interactions between Gil and Lizel were just so, perfect? Their personalities and responses fit each other so well. I really liked Lizel's chill demeanour during the whole episode, made me like him a lot <3 I'm very excited to see more of them!

I've a confession to make. Before this season begin, I was doing a rough quick check on the vibe of the overall anime of this season. And I thought this anime is the same one as Isekai Office Worker. Today I just know that they're completely different anime. But they're equally gay. This anime is full of sexual innuendo. The question about "history of women" is actually mean "are you gay?", they're checking each other's vibe. And "team up" is actually mean "marriage", and I could go on and on, revealing all kind of implications, but let's stop here so that I won' spoil the fun of interpretation. I love how Lizel just casually spend coins to buy a hot guy, he's my inspiration. And this is such a nice town, I could feel the townspeople are very open about many things...

Have some hope for this. Chars are not "simple". The plot is not easily predictable from a single episode.

This should've been a BL :(
oh well, seems interesting enough to keep watching anyway

@felixsifuri Yeah, it has some homoerotic vibes, even though according to an LLM the light novel doesn't contain any explicit mention of anything LGBT. I will watch another episode but if it's gay stuff I'm out. I don't know where MAL gets its tags but if a show contains BL it should always show up in the tags.

It's not a BL. There were some vibes but it doesn't make it a BL. I don't think gay undertones need a tag because it doesn't make it a BL and I don't get why people are so afraid of the gays XD Watching something with gay or seemingly gay characters doesn't make you gay you know. Romance is romance. Undertones are undertones. Nobody gets worked up about potential Straight stuff going on and it's all the same stuff - the only difference is gender which in 2025 who cares. Being worried about there being subtle gay dynamics at play is kinda sus to me like some homophobia is at play. Seems like an alright show so far. Nothing special so I'll give it the 3 episodes to grab my attention a bit more. So far just bog standard adventuring isekai stuff going on.

Im not going to rate this because this is obviously not for me at all, but... yikes. I've seen this same city, these same character designs, this exact "same everything but with one little twist" 50 times in the past year.

okay...uh, Lizel be acting like a damsel which is...eh. well, I checked the tags of the LN on NU and, thankfully, it doesn't have the yaoi or shōnen AI tags. it's just a normal brotherhood isekai anime which is fine by me. I'm gonna disregard how Lizel acts like a damsel and just focus on the chill vibes.

Mmmm...since the shounen ai wasn't included in the genres...I think it's something similar to like a brotherhood anime maybe?cause I think I saw a red haired girl in the intro. Oh, phew. It's just some normal bro isekai anime, not BL (just checked the LN tags on NU and it's not gay). Phew. I can watch it then. Glad it's not g** lol.

I don’t know i was on board until the guild receptionists name was Stud and some random dude called MC a twink. It’s a little more than undertones lmao. I got nothing against a good gay character but we haven’t seen a female character yet and it’s giving me gay harem vibes so I’m out on this one. Sad because i was liking it until they lost all subtlety during the end scene at the guild. |

Or maybe just to that Continent, after someone used a little magic. Whatever, he actually is kind of using his brain & trying to figure out the lay of the land. |

I think it doesn't need to have the BL tag to be it, as long as you can interpret it or see it that way (and honestly you don't have to try hard to see it lmaoo) but like, i know there's an audience and it's a genre and all that but it'd be like having a straight tag )? like there can be gays without labeling it as gay story and it's ok. it helps to normalize it more i think, goes to broader audiences as well

I don't understand why there needs to be a debate about whether or not its BL. I'm enjoying it for what it is, not panicking about something unimportant.
@KrowGrave It's because some dudes are so insecure that they're afraid seeing even a hint of gayness will make them start craving the D. Seriously people, if you wanna complain about something, complain about the trope-y town and lack of world-building. The fact that the noble acts different than your expectations is really the only hook the show has atm.

These are awfully written dialogues and very unnatural and stiff screenwriting. Even the nonverbal communication is off. Even if this was to be a BL (which I've seen from other comments, it sadly is not) it really missed the mark :/

@KANLen09 he didn't die, he himself said he was in a room... talking with subordinates... and 'poof' he just suddenly appeared in that alley. so this isn't a reincarnation show. unless he comes out and says 'somebody in the room attacked me...' later on... like an assassination or whatever.

hmm. i'm getting BL vibes from this 1st ep. too many ikemen. they're everywhere. plus the discussion about 'history with women' left everything... and i do mean EVERYTHING up in the air with these two guys. let's hope they keep 'that' low on the priority list for events in this show... or it's a drop. i don't like em, don't watch em, but other folks are more than welcome to enjoy em... i'm not judging, i just don't like it. otherwise? gorgeous episode. the legs and feet are... minimal at best in many 'in-motion' scenes. so it is an 'above the waist' production... which simplifies things... but shows the studio IS cautiously budgeting time and manhours in the 1st episode... which usually is the big bang pow zoom episode to hook viewers. the fight-scene/confrontation in the guild hall was poorly choreographed and executed. the flying blade-piece just appears in-frame suddenly, view of the strike was a bind not an impact so how did the sword break? no animation of that. the bodyguard's movement wasn't fluid, he was a still that got 'slid into frame' from the left with minimal animation of his hair clothing and body. low-qual work right there in the first 'fight' of the show. not a good sign. the designs of almost everybody in the episode is detailed and well done, very few 'blob mob' folks... the studio THANKFULLY didn't pick one of the lowest quality 'group' choices, the 'faceless crowd' concept. literally nobody has a face except the glamour/central characters. the worst of all? the 'paper cutout' crowds. no color or one single color, just line drawings, truly basic bare-bones 'person' shapes, and zero animations. the crowds for this city are TINY in numbers compared to the backgrounds and settings/set pieces. this city looks gorgeous though! excellent architectural work and detailing and texturing and coloring! frankly just for the backgrounding and set pieces, i'd give this episode an A+ immediately! as to the story? this dude is TOO calm cool n collected... even in his own head! for this situation. so he's either a master of the facade/face... or he's got one crazy level of levelheadedness. selling his sword first off? truly TRULY stupid. overconfident. too trusting of the 'safety' of this city. unless his earrings and pendant are magical woo-woo items he really needs? or gut-wrenchingly backstoried heirlooms/gifts? he should have led with getting his green jewel and gold earrings appraised first. what's in his pockets? nothing of any value?? not even his 'strange coins' from his homeworld? even if as 'money' they're worthless here, the metal appraisal in and of themselves might have been of value. now if the dude has 'other skills' than swordplay? magic? hand to hand? suchforth... mhmmm... perhaps selling the sword was an ok idea. but initially, even as a show-piece or a cautionary image of somebody even half decent at swordfighting... he shoulda kept the sword.
