I think this episode was cute though. They had their dates outdoors and got to enjoy being alone together. Yoi even tried on some glasses. But yeah, typical date. Nothing too out the ordinary. Between the two, Kohaku is actually quite a gentleman.

Still can’t believe she made a whole ass legally binding contract before lol. That went out the window real quick. They look sooo good, Ichimura is so real for wanting to go shopping with Yoi as an excuse to get her in different outfits lol. She’s gorgeous in EVERYTHING.

Once again, can’t emphasize enough how gorgeous Yoi is in this adaptation and how beautiful every scene is.

The fact Yoi’s dad is she and Ichimura’s biggest shipper is so funny, he’s actually so messy and I love it! I do think it’s really good that Yoi is making sure Ichimura actually cares about her before going too far with things. He’s definitely hot and says sweet things, but everything’s happened so quickly and a lot of his compliments have been rather superficial. Smart girl. Make him prove he loves ALL of you.

I think in the manga it depends on the scene. In some she looks very boyish, in some it's pretty much like in the anime.

I keep taking so many screenshots of this anime. There are so many pretty scenes. This week I really liked the boat scene at the amusement park. It was really cute. I also enjoy how they seem to be actually communicating their feelings. Yoi felt hurt at how he answered her text message and she told him about it and then he apologized and explained that he didn't mean it that way. I hate the miscommunication trope so this is nice to see!

I was thinking this anime was going to be disadvantaged airing back2back with You and I are Polar Opposites, but it manages to hold its own. I was hoping they would have a serious relationship, but instead we get the trial-dating trope. I can live with it because the writing is not too bad. Yoi is on the very threshold of tolerable tsundere (and a tomboy-tsundere at that). I am actually impressed at how well-written Kohaku's character is, all things considered.

This anime has, in a good way, turned out to be what I wanted Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi to be. Looking forward to next week.

Moonlit is still a very pretty show and the gap between their personalities is still fun. But I felt like they weren't adapting to each other as people do. Yoi is still a proper, nervous person who can never seem to relax. Ichi is still a laidback guy but feels free to pull Yoi around and make a public display of their relationship.

Oh well. Time to watch the latest Polar Opposites.

It's true that he violates all sorts of boundaries, but not in an aggressive or intentional way, I would say. It's probably he is used to just doing as he pleases and has little knowledge or experience of being with a woman. Still, Yoi definitely shouldn't put up with any of that shit, I don't think she will.

The official dating begins and the first date was a pleasant one.

From clothes shopping (they both looked so cool and majestic) , to the confectionary sweet tasting and then the ferriswheel ride.

I liked how they opened up about each other little by little, especially kohaku at the end how he was honest about his interests in yoi & he's doing new stuff for her. Wholesome

The biggest highlight ofc was the "i usually leave texts on read, but i wanted to reply to yours immediately" and then panel of him replying in the same minute. That really shows a lot how much she means to him. Yoi's reaction to that statement says it all

Cute.

I also noticed some changes in Kohaku like he immediately remembered and abstained from touching her shoulder, remembering her taste preference in food, understanding when yoi had the work emergency and then walking her home which was nice.

The dad was hillarious immediately shipping them, but kohakus blunt answer kinda made the vibe a little awkward especially for yoi who got upset and ofc its understandable when it comes off a little materialistic.
Yoi does admit to having fun next day to her friends. Kohaku did get the signal of yoi being upset and immediately confronts her about it. Yoi just straight up gives it to him that looks doesnt necessarily equate to love which catches kohaku off guard.
This will be a interesting developement from here. looking forward to next episode for it.

Lmfao, how the episode started with her accepting to be his girlfriend was hilarious, and the contract scene was just as funny! You could really see the moment she called him 'a little possessive'—he was stunned for a few seconds because it looked like nobody had ever said that to him before. But I have to mention how much I love the animation; it’s so gorgeous. The shopping scene was so aesthetic and unique; they looked so cool, almost like a '90s LA police vibe. The part where they were sitting on the bench and he asked about her favorite sweets was so sweet, and the amusement park ending was very heartwarming. Best episode so far

im slowly startin to get used to the anime design of the characters hahaha Yoi is such a beauty!! Kohaku is def better in the manga but oh well, that happens most of the time, especially with shojo. as for now, im liking the anime

i also really like the VAs they picked for the leads! yoi sounds mature and collected and kohaku doesnt have your typical husbando-like voice, so good for them

I am not really buying her as a "prince" she is so thin and always wears a skirt, has a completely feminine face. She is barely taller than her fiends and unless they hear her speak who would hear her "deep" voice. If she was worried about it all why would she not grow her hair longer?
Him dressing her in boys clothes was weird., he has repeatedly said she looks like a beautiful girl why dress her in such an androgynous outfit.
I can't stand shows that "fake" their premise. Give this one more ep to see if it keeps up this charade.
