| Holy moly, this was up there with the Hasegawa revelation episode, completely sucked in to the Golden Kamuy lore! And speaking of the title, we finally got it. I'd a feeling the writer has a soft spot for Tsurumi-taichou and making him say the title out loud like that pretty much confirmed it on the spot. How much of it is actually true and how much was fabricated to hypnotise Asirpa is going to be interesting but I really do think it's prob just the part about his main motivation and the obvious ploy to let down Asirpa's guard, I feel like he's aware of the eavesdropping and is playing to their tune but let's see. I just can't see him being this pro-Japanese in such a selfless way, lol. Seriously though, what a rollercoaster this season has been already! |

sigh... I really loved this anime when it started but now I hate it, it's so gross and weird...
| @RobynGatomon It's always been gross and weird. It's like Jojo without stands. That's why it stands out and is so unique. You must have skipped a couple OVAs if you're just getting filtered now. |
| HE DID IT! He said the thing! One of the sickest title drops I've ever seen. Golden Kamuy keeps on giving! I love how everything comes together in this ep. The symbolism about the Gold was incredible. I fucking Love Tsurumi! He just explained everything. If what he explained are truly his intentions, that makes him much more complex than he already is. Instead of just a man on a path of revenge which I thought to be the case. Wilk killing his family is something I didn't expect. i might be dumb about this but I wonder why? I mean what does he gain out of it unless I'm misremembering something crucial. Tsurumi putting on the mask was really something lol. Unless there is another narrative, I just realised that this means Wilk was a bad guy afterall. He's revered as an Idol for the Ainu and a father, but I think this is the full picture. Truly a Golden Ep. Again an almost completely narrative ep, yet it was captivating. The Direction is sooo good on this. Thery're killing it. |

Wow, wow, wow, I'm speechless. What an episode! Tsurumi was already one of my favorites from the beginning, but now he's become one of my favorite anime characters of all time. What an exceptional character. An intense nationalism that overrides his feelings and allows him to regain the trust of his subordinates. The patriot man.
Whether it's Wilk, Kiroranke, or Tsurumi, they all have valid arguments in their fights. It's all very well done and remains consistent with all the clues scattered throughout the series. I haven't been this hyped for a final season in years.

| Holy shit! What an episode. We finally get Wilk's story, the tragedy he set in motion and ending with the title drop. This is peak anime 10/10 riveting. |

| Hardest title drop I have heard/seen in all my life. I bow once again before Lt. Tsurumi's greatness. Brilliant episode from beginning to end. Totally wasn't expecting this mini "church arc" to be among the best Golden Kamuy has offered in terms of writing. It was so damn good, man. Plus the fact of having Tsurumi monologuing for practically two entire episodes was beyond welcome to me. As for Asirpa tho, these sure weren't her best episodes, huh? And the part with her having to see Tsurumi wearing her father's face... oh damn. |
