Finally finished Sword of Uruk. They managed to pull off a good ending to my surprise. Coopa's super strength so rarely came into play I kind of forgot about it, so it was nice to see her kick ass again. Nice ending montage. Utu caught the bouquet lol.

Second season really missed the humor of the first. Too bad there will never be an alt-universe series based on the OP/first episode. High School of Uruk.

I managed to find and start watching Jubei-chan.

It is so much odder than I imagined. I mean some of the jokes are funny... but it's just so weird.

I can see why it seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" shows.

Well yeah, considering that it's directed by Akitaro Daichi, who also directed Sexy Commando and Elf Princess Rane.

Ok, so... Jubei-chan is actually good. It stopped being schizo about five episodes in and realized that when it's comedy time you do comedy and drama time is for drama.

The Urinal Queen was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Hah, Last Exile straight ripped off the death star attack from RotJ.

I really like the cloud and wind animation in this series. Never seen anything quite like it (though at one point I'm pretty sure they just spliced in some time-lapse photography of real clouds).

Onemanga is fucked hard.

But it all stemmed from what started on mangafox because of GOOGLE:
Due to Google Ads warning the NOEZ staff (NOEZ: the company that owns Mangafox) to remove anything adult/porn related content in the site. It was purely based off on one article: http://l7world.com/2010/04/google-sponsors-child-pornography.html

WHY?!
It's because of the warning. NOEZ took action in 0.16 seconds, and started removing manga in Mangafox that have the mature/adult/shota/loli tags. Some manga have been tagged as that (even though they're not), and some of them have deep storylines. Before people start jumping on the gun, you need to be aware that they did NOT bother to check the content of the manga. They just straightaway removed the manga that were under those tags, despite the content/storyline.

And here are some pointers that you might want to be also aware of to prevent redundancy, which seems to be what is happening here.

----- NO, Mangafox Staff were NOT notified by the NOEZ staff that they were going to remove mature manga. We were as puzzled as you were. Like I said, it seemed to be a knee-jerk reaction, and they seemed to have no time to tell the staff--who are in fact, keeping this community in line--that they were going to implement such a thing.

----- Some members have been asking what manga have been banned and the answer is straightforward: all manga that have the adult/mature/lolicon/shotacon tag have been removed. I will try and compile a list soon, but it's a LOT of manga series, so please be patient.

----- We already have this thread. Don't go running around everywhere else about the mature manga. If a manga has disappeared, it could be because of this reason. So please, this thread is here for a purpose, not to just look pretty. So don't spam everywhere else, guys. And absolutely, NO ADVERTISING. This whole ordeal can be blamed on Google, but if you want to look for alternative manga sites, we have search engines for that very reason.

Any solutions?
At the moment, nothing official. We haven't heard from NOEZ if they are going to change adhosts or have told us anything that is up their sleeve to solving this thing (and to be really honest I don't think we'd be hearing from them anytime soon). We do have something that would at least salvage some manga that have been removed due to this "purge". Please check the manga re-evaluation thread and help.

Here's the listings for MangaFox. For OneManga, essentially all the greyed out series in the main listings are the suspended titles.

wait what. I went to the followup link on mangafox
If u want to read mangas that have been closed, u can try to search the exact name in http://m.mangafox.com
Good luck to everyone of u!

If there is a manga that you feel doesn't belong under the mature content label/or mislabeled/or you are unable to read please post the titles here in this thread. If you have any suggestion to help please post here. Any other discussion of how you think closing the mature manga is not fair/or how the government and google handles things isn't fair/ and or etc. is not needed here.

Yaoi and Yuri manga r still no and will remain under the mature tag.

As u know, we r trying our best to slove ur problems. Then we have some progress, this problem is caused by "yaoi" and “Yuri” manga, we can not have some mangas relate to Yaoi and Yuri. So our site is correcting now, maybe some of u can not read some mangas, then u can tell us the manga's name, we will reopen them after our examine. But if u still want to read some Yaoi and Yuri manga, sorry the answer is NO right now.

As all of ur mangafox user know, Due to Google Ads warning we remove adult/porn related content in the site. The reason is complex, but the result is Google warning to remove all those mangas.

Our leader from Noez has already try to talk to the staff for Google, and we are acting to fix it. So every of u please be patience, we will try to resolve it .

We are sorry for this problem, but please don't vent ur anger on our staff in mangafox who r not to blame.

We are also sorry for every staff in Mangafox, we implicate u to be the target of public criticism.

So next up is FMP: TSR. It's been some years since I saw the first though, so I've had to dig deep and remember some stuff. It's also interesting to see just how many other anime I've heard some of these voice actors in, during the years since I first saw the first series. I think I know the meaning of typecast well and truely, now.

So in past anime threads, I asked this question like 50 times but nobody ever seems to respond. I want to watch FMP TSR, but there's two other series before it, including one that everyone says is just mediocre. I'd really like to skip to second raid though since that's the one everyone praises. Do I gotta watch the first season to know what's going on in Second Raid? Or can I just go straight to TSR without missing much?

The first season is mandatory to understanding and getting the proper impact for TSR. It has some stuff that could have been cut out and some stuff that was in TSR and really should have been in the first season instead (fffffffffff GONZO), but it's overall good. Fumoffu is side-story material is indeed absolutely hilarious and shouldn't be skipped.

You know Beel, your offhand director namedrop reminded me of a pet peeve of mine: how fansubbers rarely translate the credits in an anime. It's a shame, since most of the newer fans (such as myself) end up not knowing who the fuck directed, produced, or wrote the series they like.

It's very much unlike the situation with fans of American television. I am, for example, watching Treme now because of David Simon's previously amazing work on The Wire and The Corner. But that sort of thing rarely happens with anime fans, largely because of the untranslated credits. They really should work on that.

Uh, quite frankly dude, translating the credits can potentially be kind of a pain in the ass. I mean, if someone actually cares about that, they can look it up on ANN. Many fans do not really pay attention to either the producer and director or the seiyuus. (Or are completely terrible with names, as the case may be.)

Speedsubbers typically have enough to worry about besides credits, especially as those things can change from episode to episode.

See, I'm more the guy who, if I see someone keep pumping out good shit consistently, then I'm more inclined to follow stuff that guy works on. Not saying that's how everybody should roll, it's just how I do.

So point taken I guess (especially since I'm not so hot with Japanese names myself). Still a shame, though. At least the R1 releases translate the credits for the most part.
