Its probably the best slice-of-life series this season, tho my vote for best of the season is still with Space Brothers.

In the SoL category it's a definite winner. Though Servant x Service gives it a run for its money comedy-wise, imho :P And we also have Monogatari, of course. But it surely fits into mine top-3 favorites.

Well, the season overall is disappointing. Danganronpa and Kamisama were to be the best, but they're poorly adapted.
From what I'm watching, I'd say Genshiken Nidaime is the best, Gin no Saji is second best and Fate/Kaleid is third best.
I'd still have to check out Servant x Service and Uchouten Kazoku.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

In SoL category the other ones I'm watching are Free, Servant x Service, Watamote, Tamayura : More Aggressive and I have to watch Uchouten Kazoku.

Imo, among these titles there are awful ones but it's not the case of Gin no Saji which is certainly one of the best SoL of this season. Theme and Hachiken evolving in his new environment are interesting and make a good enjoyment.

This is definitely up in my top 5 for the season. I'm not watching nearly as many as I normally would, but there are some very good ones in my shortened list. It's giving me time to watch some classics I've missed.

IMO I say yes, whenever I'm watching Gin no Saji time always flies and I wish that it was longer than 20 min per episode.

Silver Spoon is probably the best slice of life anime I've watched in a while, and I'd say it's neck and neck with Monogatari for the best of the season.

Yeah tough to beat Uchouten, but after Kingdom, Monogatari, and Hakkenden, Gin no Saji is definitely right there with Uchouten.

Uchouten is average. Gin no Saji, Free, Love Lab, and Kingdom 2 are probably near the top for me but even those are mostly 7s. Tamayura is doing good too though. This season just is mostly average in general, but next season will have more sports anime so it's all good.

Watched an episode of that and never continued, is it really that good?

I'm a sucker for PA Works anime, but the recent RDG was meh.

Well I can say yes but that's just my opinion and I know some folks will scoff at that.

Lol RDG, I almost forgot that existed. D;
Shouldn't even be compared.

episode 6 is where it really starts to get good, and episode 8 is probably the best episode of the season (counting all anime)

glad that many people have the same thought as mine.

Uchouten Kazoku is indeed the best series this season, with Monogatari Series and Gin no Saji run a close second.

and still waiting patiently for a 3rd season of Spice & Wolf :'|

When I browse a topic like this I literally feel like I'm the only person who outright dislikes this show. I can't be the only one. Right?

This show is much closer to the worst of the season for me, beaten in that regard only by Going Home Club and maybe Hyperdimension Neptunia (but at least that has So Bad It's Good value). I find it a complete bore. It basically never gets me laughing and I'm left wondering what exactly was supposed to be a joke. The setting itself is interesting and fairly unique as a concept, but I haven't been able to care about a single thing that has happened.

There was one episode, 6 I think it was, that I somewhat liked, and everything else has made me wonder why I didn't just drop it.

Can someone help me understand why so many people like this show?

No, it's alright though. It's far from anything special and it's actually got a big number of glaring flaws. It's the type of show I watch to fill up time when I'm bored and enjoy enough during that time to keep watching it - not something I can't wait till the next episode of and anticipate it weekly.

The biggest negative factor being the main character along with the huge waste of potential of a couple leading a show like this which they could easily have done or do, given the awkwardly handled very fucking slight 'romance' between him and Aki (which, with how it's handled now, just makes the show worse whenever it comes up - because it just disappears the entire rest of the time).

I love animals and wanted to be a vet or rancher myself, so I don't mind the possibly boring stuff about that - as to me it's personally pretty interesting to watch...but everything outside of that feels kinda lacking.

You usually like the thing I like, so I might check this Uchouten Kazoku.

I'm really liking Gin no Saji, I will probably rate it 7/10. It's one of the best 2013 anime for me.

I have to say that it isn't the best anime that I have seen this year, season.. But I like it a lot. I think that one of the big features of the anime is the comedy and they are messing up the timing therefore ruining the jokes. I know what it is that is keeping me from Loving this anime. I think that it has to do with the lack of development with Hackiken. I want to know more about him, but they haven't really told me much about that yet. So for me the story is a little underdeveloped right now. I am sure that in this season and the next, that will go away.

Best series this season: (my opinion, of course)
1. Shingeki no Kyojin
2. Gin no Saji

For me, Gin no Saji is so good because it's reminding me a lot of things; like how life is not about the result, but about the process.
Also how people shouldn't take things for granted, even the simplest things.
I'm a result-oriented person myself, and currently in the process of changing that mindset of mine.
And the setting of this anime is just awesome. I rated it as 9 just because I'm more into action genre than slice-of-life.

The ones I followed: BroCon, DanganRonpa, Free, Kimi no Iru Machi, Watamote! and this, obviously. Out of these, I can definitely say that Silver Spoon tops all of them.

I've seen some of InuHasa but I don't particularly like it, I've also tried one episode of Uchouten but haven't found the time to finish it. First episode was weird, but props for being unique. Also haven't found the time to try Gatchamen Crowds. Also, I'm still in the first few eps of Servant x Service, but I don't like it that much either.

Yeah for this season. Consider it's not really that great of a season though I don't think it's saying much. For me it's gotta be

1. Monogatari Series
2. Uchouten Kazoku
3. Silver Spoon
4. Rozen Maiden (2013)
5. Kimi ni Todoke
