 Kodansha announced on Saturday that Keigo Maki's Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie) manga is receiving a television anime adaptation. Synopsis Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be... but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! (Source: Kodansha Comics) Maki originally serialized the romantic comedy manga on Twitter under the title Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko Manga in September 2018 before it was picked up by Magazine Pocket in February 2019. Kodansha will publish the seventh volume on January 8. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English last March and published the second volume on December 26. | HELL YEAH!! It's time for Chad GF to steal any best girl status when its airing during that season! Literally one of my favorite romance manga currently. It's just pure fluff. And I really enjoy not just the friends but the MC's parents too. Especially the MC's dad in certain chapters. He was really awesome in those chapters. |

| One of my current top 10 favorite manga, was so happy when I saw this announcement earlier few hours ago, what a way to start a new year around. 2/10, 8 more mangas to go! | Manga wasn't bad, I got somewhat numbed to it by the initial premise's gimmick going nowhere - so I don't really know how it proceeds. But if it's Doga Kobo doing it, then I'm sure they'll deliver, and it's going to be an enjoyable watch. |
